Sweet...I think Greece can beat USA in basketball no problem...they have awesome long range shooters I know...

Too bad Russia's only 3rd in Gymnastics...but then again better than last night's men's contest :p

Worship Thorpe all you want but the man barely qualified for the final tomorrow (he qualified eighth in the semis) :p

And Romania won the gold in gymnastics! Go Romania!! :D

Hmmmm this morning were the heats for 100M freestyle (swimming) which is a huge competition, really exciting and the Americans really f-ed up :tongue3 :eyes: :wtf: which is really unusual...regardless we had 2 Canadians in the race and one of them was Rick Say who swam so well in the 200...but for both of them it says DNS which means Did Not Start...:wtf: :wtf: Why didn't they swim??

They did really well in the relay though so I'm looking forward to that. But another surprise, Thorpe didn't swim the Ausie relay 200m freestyle which he just won :wtf: wtf is going on???

I don't know if you watched the breast stroke semis but another weird thing is the Brit swimmer got eliminated. Apparently he "fly kicked" while swimming. The Canadian, Mike Brown (i think that's his name) came second though!

Also in other news, the second best British rider is out of the equestrian competition because his horse went lame :( Sad for the Brits, more of a chance for the rest of the competitors though hehe. Such is life! :D

And btw, Thorpe _did_ swim in the relay, he was the last swimmer in for the Aussie team.

i think Bulgaria, Mongolia, and North Korea still have more medals than us and they even sent fewer athletes .. don't worry we'll pick up when our events come around .. i hope.

Yep...that's that stupid Casino place that did all those stunts during Euro, golf championships, they are the ones that bought Beckham's ball (won the ebay bid) and etc...shame really   With all that money money they make, they could at least pay for decent advertising.

I was just watching the interview with the Canadian relay team and Rick Say...:haha: :haha: :stongue: ...everyone is like...man we did OKAY...not bad...we're not really happy but we are happy :stongue: :haha: ...and then Rick Say...we sucked, this is crap, i'm pissed off...I wanted a medal...i'm really pissed off...this is crap :haha: :haha: :stongue: :stongue: That guy is brilliant...he was blaming himself mostly though so that's cool, regardless though he seems like a cool guy :p

I watched that entire race and i really give props to Rick Say for saying what he did. it's frustrating sometimes to watch our athletes simply be satisfied with just "being" there and not medalling. Rick definately showed the conviction that it really takes for an athlete to medal in that sort of competition..

i hope more of our athletes take on this type of attitude. if u really want something i think u gotta show and prove it. it's all about the hunger to win..
