It's sad, Yes, But all players are human and all players play dirty from time to time, some even play dirty all the time. But that's the way the situation is these days.
He's no GOD when being marked and closely followed. Sure, He's a fantastic player. But he's also human, no one will ever play out any other defence without "extra help". Yes, His popularity gives him a lot of freekicks, and the referee's is afraid of the crowds pressure most of the times.
The whole thing is very complex, but yet so very easy. I appreciate players like David Villa, who stands on his legs even though he could've easily fixed a penalty if he dived, That's fair, but tactically wrong according to the teams restrictions.
Players dive, players stand on their legs, they do almost everything to win a game, even cheat. That's about it I guess.. |
