Ronaldinho to sign Barca deal

Ronaldinho's agent expects the Brazilian star to sign a new bumper contract with Barcelona before the end of this month.
The Catalan side has been desperate to tie down Ronaldinho to a long term deal amid concerns that Chelsea are planning to launch a bid for him in the future.
Indeed, Spanish newspaper AS has claimed that the Stamford Bridge side are ready to pay 70million euros ($A112.2million) for Ronaldinho but if the 25-year-old does sign a new deal, any hope the Blues have of being able to prise him away from the Nou Camp would appear to be very remote.
"We have not been able to sign a new contract so far because the team has been travelling and ourselves as well, it was a case of finding a space in the diary to fit it in," Roberto de Assis told reporters at the Nou Camp.
"I am here until August 29 and before I go back to Brazil we are going to arrange everything." |
