| Was this Barcelona team made in China? They looked and felt original but seemed to fall apart when some pressure was applied :p |

Given the absolute garbage in terms of football quality that the 3 games in semi finals have so far offered, i have high expectations for this one.
Hope that Barca knock one in early so that Chelsea have to push forward and not shut shop like they did at the Nou Camp. |

Lol dont recall a footballer who has had to endure as many heartbreaks as John Terry both with England and Chelsea but I lost all sympathy for Chelsea for their behavior at the final whistle going back to their history of trying to intimidate the referee - even though he did clearly screw up by giving the foul by Alves on Malouda as a free kick instead of the penalty and then the Pique hand ball. Brownie points to drogba though for yelling its a fuking disgrace twice in the face of a live tv camera. I can see an entire group stage suspension for next year coming for that if he is even with Chelsea.
Lucky lucky win for Barca. They might have played the better football over the course of the 2 legs but having Hiddink's experience as a manager almost worked in Chelseas favor given that he clearly used his tactical acumen and Chelsea's physical superiority to counter Barca's free flowing attacking style. Having a majority of the possession and not mustering a shot on target until the end doesnt say much for a team being hailed as one of the best of all time.
Messi the greatest player in the world? Gimme a break. The semi final was the first time i got to saw Barca play and the only player in my opinion looked sharp was Henry. Didnt see anything from Messi, Xavi , Eto'o and Iniesta would have made the list to had he not banged in that blinder at the end.
Dont think its because Barca have a bad team - they probably are the best at the moment but I think it is more the inexperience of the coach. Guardiola's attacking football philosophy might match that of Barca's but he clearly has a one track mind with no plan B that would resort to changing their style of play when required.
That and the fact that they will be missing 3 of their 4 starting defenders - an area that was already their weakest link before this scenario and I think at this point things are looking very good for United. Using a physical approach and resorting to classic counter attacking football - a la Ronaldo's second goal last night and I think we are slight favorites to win in 3 weeks. |

everything aside, for now let me celebrate.
Tot el camp
és un clam
som la gent blaugrana
Tant se val d'on venim
si del sud o del nord
ara estem d'acord, ara estem d'acord,
una bandera ens agermana.
Blaugrana al vent
un crit valent
tenim un nom el sap tothom:
Barça, Barça, Baaarça!
ps...i'm drunks |
