Pressing 2000, like the case is here.. i'm not however sure about. I've always lived along the fact you aren't allowed to press more than 1000 of any bootleg, no matter what sample/material it contains.
However, i'm sure it's not amazingly hard to get away with pressing more than the "so called" 1000 limit. Certain artists, who i won't name, have more than obviously done so. |
Where did you pull out this magical limit? How does the amount change anything? If I press 1001 whitelabels it becomes illegal? Please... |

Granted it IS in fact ripping off... but you're being a bit of a hypocrite
Either way... ofcourse Tiesto is involved... the point is that that cant be proven hence why it sees the light of day...

well said - especially the last sentence :)... why no-one else actually says this is unknown to me... they'd prefer to give there 2 cents into the 'why tijs can't do that, why tijs should do this' remark which everyone seems to love bringing up. |

yeah whether its 1 or 1000 its still breaching the original copyright law made for the original material.
whatever though. As a whitelabel i'm sure there is some kind of process or bypassing of the law which is why so many remixes (not just this one from tiesto) get past even without artist permission.
If there wasn't - the whitelabels wouldnt come into existence would they... if not from Tiesto fearing a legal battle to the actually pressing plant - maybe they'd not wanna be involved if they could be sued for making it. That makes me think there must be a loophole somewhere that makes making white labels legal. |
