yeah i forgot about them but i didn't think i had to go that far back in time.
anyways i don't understand why everyone hates new england. they play like a team they don't have any outright superstars that claim all the success of the team and demand salaries higher then everyone else. they're humble and they are very respectful of everyone else in the league. they don't go around talking about people like you hear some other superstars doing not just in football but in other sports as well. they don't overly celebrate like other players in the league (i don't really care for it but alot of the announcers do) but when it comes down to it when someone is hurt on the team everyone steps up to fill in the gap.
i mean i understand not liking the winner and rooting for the underdog but from what i've seen its like alot of people despise them. i admire them alot, they're very tough and also very smart about what they do.
i mean yea being from boston i guess you could ask me why i hate the yankees so much and i guess its because it was the principle that i was brought up on. i mean yea i don't like the yankees but that doesn't mean that i don't respect them. but i think some people don't respect the patriots very much atleast what i've seen from on the boards.

same reason why people root against Duke in college hoops. Coack K wins year in and year out with his squad. They're always getting their butts kissed by the media, especially by Dick Vitale. People get sick of them. Everyone gets sick of them wants Duke to lose.
Sawe thing goes for the pats. Bellichek/Weis/Crennel wins year in and year out. They're always getting their butts kissed by the media, especially by Bill Simmons (who still claim that the pats aren't getting respect). Everyone gets sick of them wants the Pats to lose. |

There is a major factor in why the Pats are so great. BILL BELICHECK!! The man is a brilliant coach. Not to mention, prior to him, Bill Parcels built an awesome team while he was there and then Bellichek took what Parcels built and kept it flowing steadily and allowing the team to build CHEMISTRY which is a major factor in becoming a champion. When Parcels & Bellicheck were teamed up with the Giants, The Giants were champions and were legitimate contenders each year. |

So did you hate the Yankees of 1996-2000? Those guys were all good respectable people. Scott Brosius, Tino Martinez, Bernie Williams, Paul O'Neil, etc. They cared so much about winning, didn't care about stats, were respectable guys off the field, played the game right, etc. Lots of people despised them.
I despise the Pats because they upset my heavily favored Rams in the Super Bowl. Plus, I don't know but some of their guys come across a little smug and arrogant to me. I might be too if I was as good as them. Yet, I predicted the Pats to win last week and respect them mightily.
Tom Brady? He's as annoying to me as Jeter is to the Red Sox fans. Tell me why Jeter annoys Red Sox fans then? |

haha i actually respect jeter i don't like him but he's not annoying really and he makes a really good team leader. tino and bernie were cool but i disliked most of the rest of them. if there was one yankee i hated it was garcia. |

| Pats are done next year they have 3 WR's that are free agents.....two of them being a huge part of the offense....Givens and Patten. They will prob win it this year and get that dynasty but it will be another 25 years before they win another one....just like the Steelers. |

| hmmmm. i wonder where the jets would be now if belichick didnt leave after 37 hours. looking back now, man was that ever a turn of events. then again i dont know if the jets would have provided him the tools he needs to win like new england is now. remember he was head coach of the browns also and he failed miserably there. |
