Well as I have mentioned in the past, her sets have been hit or miss for me personally... but she does have an effect on the crowds she plays for so the hype won't die anytime soon.
Curious to see the DJ Mag results when they get announced on Thursday.. I don't think Preach will make the top 100, *maybe* top 150, but I like to see the movers & shakers according to popular vote... Barbara jumped like 30 places last year.. we'll see where she sits this time.
One thing is for sure.. Preach is no doubt THE PRODUCER coming out of Montreal at the moment, illustrated by today's Intec 29 release. w00t :D |

and why immediatly compare the 2 of them? because they are from Montreal?
Misstress is misstress, preach is preach. Tranceaddict as become a little obsess with who is better than who, and who kicks the other's ass, and is #1, #22 or #150. When they are all in fact, so different |

hmmm. don't get agressive, my post was only a point of view of what I see recently among people talking about Aria DJs. Very competitive talk.
There's nothing wrong in liking preach better over mistress. Great for him, great for you. My point was, the guy is talking about a night he liked with Mistress and it quickly turns, on the second post, to somebody saying that another is better na na na, like a LOT of posts since a year. Probably people who were in the scene in the 90's, don't have such agressive opinions on comparing Djs. And the competitive approach, as sucked up a lot of fun from it.
If the guy enjoyed is night, well, let it be.
That's all.
Misstress is WAY different than Preach, I'm positive even Preach would say it. She plays very fast, mix very quickly, and very hard. While Preach as a completely different feel. |

| I think Preach play harder (less commercial stuff also)and he mix better. |

Regardless of mixing technique/ability or track selection, Barbara brings an energy to a dancefloor that I've seen very few DJs match...her excitement and passion about what she's playing is contagious.
Chris Liebing, Sven Vath - they have that effect too. |
