They are right in 1 way. Tiesto is too up himself these days and makes the most of the fact a stupid magazine made him number 1. Its only a magazine poll and he is not the best dj in the world. When we were on the train to Sensation White earlier in the year there was a lad who used to know Tiesto years ago as his Grandma lived next to him but he said that he is a prick these days and a lot of people think so in Holland. Having said this I still do like seeing Tiesto play as these days its only in a packed out club/stadium/festival so there is always a good atmosphere.
DJ mag is wank anyway. |

You're just mad that I found it out first.
I'm still in disbelief that people actually thought that article was telling the truth.
Ahahahahaha.
And no, that wasn't satire. It is fun. . |

I am not sure who said this entire piece was satire but their wrong.
Tiesto was booked for a gig by DJ Mag and he didn't show up. He knew about his concert and these gig months ahead of time yet still booked it.
As you can expect DJ Mag was pissed and they released this statement.
Saying that a Trance DJ, like Tiesto, would prefer Cheese Sandwiches over coke was a clever insult about his music. Tiesto plays cheese and he likes cheese sandwiches. See the irony.
Everyone one knows Tiesto has been acting like the Queen of England for the entire year, there was no need for a DJ Mag to point out the obvious. I also think this was a calculated move my DJ Mag to finally begin the process of hyping up the next #1 DJ. [hint] why would they even mention Armin
I think someone has paid DJ Mag more than Black Hole Recordings to hype them up in 2005 and this was the PR move to signify that the money has been accepted.
Do you honestly think that an online voting system is legit? Come on!! Don't be so naive. |

If you can't tell that it's satire then you're extremely daft. I would bet any amount of money that in a few weeks they'll be kissing his ass again. |

Tiesto is a little up himself!
He isn't the best DJ in the world, everyone has their own views on who is the best DJ. If you ask me Armin should be No.1 but again thats my own view :tongue2 |

true, doubt oakey will ever be #1 again tho... haha... I woulnt mind seeing avb or pvd take 1st, not that it matters, Donald Gluade placed 64th in 2002 I think, and then bang this year, like 138 or something, and guess what... I might not goto Tiesto to see Donald Gluade, because that guy is an entertainer.... DJs with real talent and energy and knows how to read a crowd and just be all around awesome performers deserve to be #1, PvD and AvB are talented DJs, and Tiesto is to some extent (tho he used to be better), but they are #1 from good managment and having an eye for business, their are some DJs like Glaude who dont have that machine behind them... and technically are better at what they do.
Just my opinion tho.
BTW, if Donald Glaude is ever in your area, see him he is a great DJ, and you will come away totally awed. | The only reason Oakie hasn't won it for a while is because he's been touring the States constantly and who can blame him hey?? |
