The alcohol/Red Bull remark? The man is of legal drinking age and has the right to consume booze, and I don't think that red bull is a bad choice when doing eight or nine hour sets in two nights.
The man no-showed because he wanted to not -up (I await people to make comments on train-wrecking :p) in front of 20,000 people (not including the thousands watching online), and he would rather rest before doing an eight or nine hour set two nights in a row.
As was mentioned earlier, the only thing this is is an attack on an artist because he didn't show up to what they had agreed upon. They need to stop the bitching and realize that it's their own poll that put him there and if they don't like it, then perhaps their poll needs a little re-working. The DJ Mag is just as egotistical as Tiësto; damned hypocrites. |

To be fair his move to the top spot was as amicable as any other; back then he didn't put on any extra-ordinary gigs like TIC (to my memory) and he put alot more effort into his mixing than he does now. *Staying* at the top though... you're probably right, he's abused his position far too much if you ask me. Still he'll be the one laughing when he has enough money to retire at 40 and live like a ing king... |

I agree. They shouldn't have scheduled it the night before his show and he shouldn't have initially agreed to attend. He had every right to feel slighted, but some of the things he said were childish. |

A lot of this is crap. You cant say that tiesto got gigs like the olympics just because of djmag!! It was said many times that the olympic people chose him because they were impressed with the TIC event. And TIC isnt because of djmag either. I dont think he needs some magazine to realize that if he plays a concert people will come. The cheese thing is the silliest. I doubt thats all he ever requests.
I think that DJ mag is to blame for all the tiesto haters. If they hadnt published the vote for #1 dj so many of you bitter people wouldnt have such a big reason to hate him! If he wasnt number one it wouldnt be so intimidating to the people that prefer other djs. |

I see no problem with a fine selection of cheeses. Much preferable to coke, that's for sure.
As for hookers, Tiesto has that down to disgustingly skanky perfection:

| Seriously, though, DJ Mag has every right to bitch about this. Of course they're being vulgar and over-the-top. It's purely for shock value because they're a sensationalist scenester music magazine. But their core message is well justified after being given a metaphorical slap in the face. |

| You Tiesto haters are simply jealous of his success. If any of you wannabes made it to his level, you would act just like he does, actually some of you would be worse. So what if he gets these so called whores, you wish you could have women sweatin you like that, and if you did, you know you would bang every one of em too. I would stick both of those bitches in that photo above without thinking, and you know you would too, so stop hating and being so damn jealous. Don't listen to him anymore if you don't like his sets. Most of us including myself loved his sets of a few years ago, and now there is a new wave of fans that are into his new sound, so don't listen if you don't like it, just drop the jealousy issues. |
