Agreed. But at the same time Mark as a person is a very humble and friendly guy and that needs to be appreciated. The fact that he's famous in the realm of the DJ world means that people here will talk about him and yes sometimes with some stars in their eyes.

Knowing Mark really well myself I know that he is flattered by it but very humble too. He said something to me once about this very subject. I dont have a direct quote or anything but i do remember it being along the lines of if he ever gets too comfortable as a DJ he'll quit. Basically meaning that he will always work hard to do what he does and if ever he doesnt feel the motivation to do so, he'll just stop doing it.

On that we are in 100% agreement , Mark is the same person now that he was when i first met him 10 years ago (Ok he drinks a lot less now)
And Yes , considering Mark is our Premier home grown talent a lot of other DJ's could definately learn a thing or two about being humble and real. I have had to put up with my fair share of arrogant rude self serving prima donna Dj's over the years and thankfully mark is nothing like that

He travels quite a bit during the week actually.

Yeah there are a couple of local DJs (whom i wont mention because im not a political person when it comes to music and i want to stay away from BULL) who really get under my skin when it comes to being arrogant pricks. And the funny part is that most of the international guys who already made it are really really cool. I think these punk ass guys can learn a few things about getting to fame (its not about walking all over everybody to get there).

Yes Much respect to Mark , great Dj and a good friend

But before you put him on a pedestal (which although flattered I am sure he would be the first to tell you he doesn't want) please remember that Mark , just like the rest of us who work in this service industry gets paid to do a job and his happens to be dj'ing

He chooses when to work and gets paid just like the rest of us.
Dj's make at least double money on a NY eve.

If you doubt what I say ask Mark if he would like to work and not get paid just to entertain you. we all have families and I both Mark and I have young children at home .

Not being negative , but you need to stop being so starry eyed

IMO, with success comes freedom and I dont see mark missing any gigs be it contractual or by choice, to be in the carribean chillin in the sun. that is dedication and thats what im saying thanks to.
Im not saying he'd spin for free but you can tell when someone spins with heart from someone who spins for cash.
