Well, it just may be possible you were not in the first 500, looking at one in front of me right now.

Well, once I got in there weren't more than 300 people in the club... no chance in hell. I was there early, bro.

Either way, someone rip that CD and share it... cuz it's gotta be good!

I'm not arguing with you, simply making a statement, I'm looking at one of those CD's, so yes, they were handed out, to how many people, I suppose that is questionable. I never went though, so I can't say first hand.

i was just making a statement as well... so let's cut to the point here - can you hook me up with a copy of that Sean's CD in mp3?

This night was pure insanity, straight from the get-go, when we were following floorwhore through dundas booney town not knowing where the we were going, up until seeing the dancefloor still pretty full at 9 am!!

We got there around 1 to see a longer guestlist line than the regular line. But like floorwhore explained to me, that's a good thing, for guestlist helps ensure that people come to the club for the reduced admission, and what not keeping the place busy. It's no different from System, it means that the promoters and club staff are more connected to their crowd. That's a good thing if you ask me. As for expecting line by pass only to find a line, I have to say the lineup moved at a relatively good pace, and the list girl walked up the line checking off names avoiding a bottleneck up front. I'm not complaining.

First time at Boa and wow did it sound excellant. I love this club. The layout, the different layers. The steps took a bit of getting used to, almost tripped a few times, but it's so awesome to overlook a dancefloor. The sketch factor in the club wasn't nearly as bad as I expected it to be (considering their hours of operation) and I found that to be a pleasant surprise.

I have a love-hate relationship with prog. I used to love it, but lately, i haven't been listening to as much of it and I don't go see nearly as many prog dj's as I used to (hence this being my first time at Boa), but last night made me like it again! Sean Miller was great, and Satoshi's set rocked. The sound system made it even more enjoyable. I'd love to hear a stellar breaks night on that system.

Met a whole bunch of TA's for the first time, and most of them didn't even know who I was :tongue3 but that's ok, I've only started posting on here regularly in the past week. The few that knew me were Floorwhore, Miss Julia, DigiNut and Sohaness (but that doesn't count, he knew me before). It was great meeting you guys and in Steves case, seeing you again.

My friends that came up also had a blast and we really are looking forward to going back to Boa! Definately a great first impression for this club. Thanks to floorwhore for hooking us up, and thanks to everybody that gave the club such a great vibe.

Pictures coming soon.....

Did anybody else notice Satoshi wasn't wearing your typical "DJ" headphones..?? He had those small earbud things... like the crap one's that came with my mp3 player :P

Perhaps his were some super high-tech state of the art Japanese 'not yet available to the general public' earbuds... ??

Haha.. who knows.. I just found it very interesting thats all :P

He might have been using these: http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/er4.asp

They isolate the outside sounds pretty well.

Agreed! I only caught a bit of him when I was passing through on my way out around 7 but holy tunes. Such a NICE contrast to upstairs - funky, bumpy house music.

That being said, Satoshi didn't do anything for me but that was as expected. I showed up around 6 after coming from 99 sudbury to meet friends from Montreal who were at boa for the first time. I felt almost ill from the heat by the time I got to the back of the club as I was sporting a record bag and a full length winter coat and a giant scarf. It was packed and it was HOT. woah.

I was happy to run into Tordan, Diginut and Highroller in the short time I was there.

:)
