My first time out at BOA... and I must say, that sound system ROCKS! Such crisp bass.. distinct highs and lows.. just beautiful. It was great to hear some of my fav tracks they way they were meant to be heard.
Satoshi was laying down some DEEP DARK DIRTY beats. :eyes: I really enjoyed his set.. although I'm sure the best is still yet to come. I really wish he came on earlier.. because by 7am I was totally out of steam.
Overall, a great night. My friends bailed at the last second, so I made it a solo mission... and it was well worth it. My only issue was coatcheck.. I arrived at 3:15 and it was already full..!? People were taking their coats out of coatcheck too... so theoretically there WERE available hangers.. but they still wouldn't take anybodys coat. Is it really that difficult to ensure there is enough space in coatcheck to accomodate all of the club's patrons?! Doesn't make any sense to me... and it sucked ass having to carry my coat around with me all night.
Other then that though... great system, great sound, great set. 8/10 |

Seems like the people over at Boa really need to get the coat check system sorted. I had anticipated such a fiasco at NYE and didn't take my coat, but given the fact we have at least 3 more months of wonderfull winter to look forward to, i would think this has to top the agenda as kinks that need to be ironed out.
Didn't make it last nite due to sheer exhaustion, which sucks cause i heard from a friend early on that the party was rockin. Definately will be back in the very near future for my dose of dirty house -- BOA style !!! So please, the powers that be (hint hint boa-redux) sort out the coat check -- you got everything else on lock, so how hard is it to manage something as simple as looking after your patrons winter gear ? |

arived @ boa around 12:30 to see only 2 guys in the lineup, so then i took a stroll with my sis to get some smokes, came back and froze my ass of for the next hour.
but it was all worth it.
sean miller - this guy is awesome, i really like his sets but last night he was kinda too slow for me (im not saying he was BAD)
satoshie - this guy rock but hje was kinda too slow for my mood.
real party was downstairs, holy that lounge is TO's best kept secret, they always have somebody who'll drop so many dirty tracks its mindbogling. last night was no exception guys killed the dancefloor, 15 BIG BIG thumbs up for them (what is the name of dj who closed lounge?)
then satoshie again - and once more, too slow for my taste, but it was kinda CHUNKY so it was aight.
liz is the best employee EVER :)
big SUP to sly guy (YOUR RECORD WILL BE SHATTERED, just gimme some marathon parties to practice and u'll see ;)) and dallas ;) ;) |

Wow. Stayed til just after nine, dropped off Julia and Karim, went home, 10 minute shower, suit on, off to work. What a ing party. Ive never seen the club so full, so early on - it was amazing. Full review to come as soon as i can get my head together!! Great to meet all those new faces, and the ones i havent seen in ages!!! Party was stukk rocking hard when we left. When did it finish!?!?
