I disagree with this, but I don't think I want to get into a philosophical debate....

Terrible news for sure.

Suicide is a very selfish act...that's all I was tryin' to say...

I've lost a couple of friends to suicide and it just boils my blood when I hear about it.
(and believe me, I don't get upset at just about anything).

I'm just glad no one else got hurt... :(

I dont think anyone can sit here and say nothing is worth killing yourself. We all have it pretty damn good on average. I just wish these people would think twice about how and where they decide to take their lives. No one else should have to be a part of it, and to jump in the middle of the busiest mall in the city is asking for someone else to be hurt. He's going to be sorry he did it this way, im sure his life is a lot more facked than it was in the first place.

didn't the guy surive?
alive - taken to hospital.

nyways there's lots of suicides in toronto, at least once a week in the subway. and the famous suicide bridge is fenced off, cuz ppl just loved to dive off it.

She is still pretty shaken up about it...I'll ask her tommorrow for more details ...She did assure me that she witnessed the sudden fall and then blood gushin' everywhere...

horrible
Nabs
That is trully horrible

I know there is no honour in suicide but I think what this guy did was clearly so selfish, in a city where you could basically kill yourself in a hundred million ways, why would you pick something like this. Not only does it suck to see something like this take place, but like someone said before, he could have seriously hurt someone.

Go kill yourself elsewhere. Sorry but I'm not going to have any respect for anyone that would carelessly endanger someone else's life while taking their own.

Maybe he couldn't take being charged 15% tax at Sears anymore... :conf:

I guess he made the jump at one of the busiest malls in the city because he was motivated by more than just wanting to end his life. IMO he must have wanted to make it a spectacle and get enough attention out of it for whatever reason. Who knows, maybe he didn't want to die but commit an outlandish act such as this just to get enough publicity for something or the other..... :conf:

This is wrong, but I laughed at that.

You would think with the massive amount of people taking their lives, our society would realize that some tweeking was in order. I mean, in general it seems the population isn't very happy. Stress is through the roof, people are not taking care of their health; my 18 year old room mates blood pressure is too high, and mine was too last year, when I was 17. This is not normal.

A lot of people cannot handle the high demands of the world these days. My prayers go out to all the people who suffer depression, especially this man, if he survives, he will have a lot to deal with.

insane. I cant imagine having to witness something like that
