Horrible...Suicide inside The Eaton Centre.. (pg. 7)

When I lived in Victoria, I saw a lady "throw" herself from the top floor of a mall down to the bottem, when I was coming out of Toy R Us. She landed on one of those little stands that sells cheap watches (and died of course)
I was 7...it wasnt nearly as traumatic as you would think... It wasnt on the news either, they always like to play down suicides. |

Neither! Im an atheist, so i believe when you die, you're n dead. You cease to exist. Thats the end everything in terms for you.

Well I take a kind of scientific point of view here & I think that we perhaps enter another dimension.I think that we are ALL special in our own unique way and that we are all...like....individual energies...so that when we die this energy changes into another form & maybe enters that other dimension......I know that all this sounds strange but I do believe that something awesome happpens that is WAY beyond our comprehension when we pass away...:eyespop: |
Thats very interesting... i could see it potentially being possible i suppose.... certainly makes more n sense that this riddiculous concept of heaven and hell. |

To take your own life tells God you don't appreciate your uniqueness in creation. There's a scripture in Ecclesiasties somewhere (No bible on me at the moment) that says "the soul itself will die". Meaning, when you say, "oh, that poor soul" the person itself dies. That's why you have to have faith in the Resurrection to come (to life or to judgement). The term "Gehenna" is where the idea of hellfire comes from (it was a figurative use of the place to describe everlasting destruction, used by Jesus, and was the burning fire outside the walls of Jerusalem where garbage was destroyed). It is used innacurately as the same word as Sheol and Hades (Greek and Hebrew words which have also been translated as "hell", but if Jesus was in Hades, or "hell" and he was perfect, then how could we expect to escape it?)
The heavens are for angels and god. There is no hell (some believe that Satan promoted "hell" to prove "everlasting life" after he misled Eve and took away Adam & Eve's "everlasting life"). We were created to live as humans. Why do our wounds heal? Aging is something science can't explain.
Sorry to get all biblical. Crap. 'Scuse me while I go pray. |

maybe he played to much "state of emergency" and wanted to make a point about how much pointless consuming we do. maybe it was his way of saying the corperation, and he wanted all the mindless consumers to see that something is wrong when we try to solve our problems with a new shirt.
thats not my opinion btw, and i'll keep my views on suicide to myself, unless someone really wants to kno.
poor guy :( |

lol...another one :p
Perhaps he listened to too much evanescence...
*sigh*
I'm still not 100% convinced it was a suicide but I guess we'll never really know now since they're not publicizing it. Either way it's a shame... |

In Christian terms, isn't Hell the absence of God? :conf:
(at least that's what I remember) |

you know the man is stupid and inconsiderate when he
1.) jumps off in a mall on only 3rd floor. great, if you don't die, blame on your stupidity
2.) choose to jump in a mall? you want to kill someone or suicide?
3.) again.. in a mall. does he like the attention from people since he never gets any when he's alive?
in any case, i'm against suiciding. -.- if you were 80 years old. suffering in the hospital not being able to move or eat etc. that's slightly different. |

Dallas, read my post.... Jesus was in "hell" (Hades, Sheol) for 3 days before his resurrection. He was perfect. If a perfect man was in "hell" then how can we escape "hell" to get to "heaven?"
D'oh! Scary thought? |
