| Toronto is a great city for partying & work.....But other than that it doesn't have very much to offer i feel.....This is a great topic nonetheless since I've been wanting to know why ppl hate toronto so much too.....David Mercer himself while interviewing ppl in MTL for his show made a complete mockery of Toronto and comments like 'Centre of the Universe' :wtf: .... The only logical explanation is ppl here in Canada too are quite ignorant and a lil unaware of how things go in big metropolitan cities....:) |

Seriously though, take a mix of Calgary and Vancouver type people and put them in Toronto and this place would be amazing. |

i visited TO a few summers ago and i had the best time. i found that all the people were friendly. and that's where my sister found her first bf haha.
a lot of mooses though:

and must not forget the bear!
i went on speakers corner near MM, don't think it got aired though. this was back when there weren't any speakers corner in vancouver at the time. |

I think the moose got removed after someone complained that they were all male moose (because females dont have antlers)

There were plenty of male and female moose, and plenty are still around the city. Each moose had a sponsor, usually corporate, and those companies/individuals now own the moose, and can be found in head offices and places of business. |

exactly the reasons why I can't stand Toronto... too big of a city, lifestyle is too goddamn fast, fashion is non-existant (and I'm referring to every day people, not the fashion scene that only a select few are familiar with), the people, oh, the people... that's a topic for a completely separate thread. |

| I just hate Toronto because the people there, both citizens and government, think that it is the centre of the universe, nevermind Canada itself... stuck-up, snobby, egomaniacal bastards. The city itself is cool, but if you took Westerners and put them there, nobody would hate that place. |

LOL you guys have noo idea how funny this all is, if looked at from an american's perspective...
i've been to t.o. multiple times, and EVERYTIME we always leave saying how clean, safe, and most of all LAID BACK toronto is!!!! toronto is sooo chill when compared to nyc, philly, or washington.. haha everything that article said about toronto is COMPLETELY untrue if compared to an american city. i know the article compared t.o with the rest of canada, but i just think its hilarious how different the perspective really can be! |
