what Richard is initiating to put together for this special nite, with the fotos and all of our contributions on that nite, will go to his parents. more info about this later... :)

Hey Ben -- hope you're doing alright.
When you talk to Cinar's dad, please pass on condolences for Ramsey (who is in LA), and couldn't get a flight in time -- he still feels really bad over it.

I'm new here too. It has been so warming to read about Cinar's more recent positive impact on others. I knew him very well during university (when one of his fav euro beats was Mallorca) and what I remember most about him was his passion (for his beliefs and of course, music) and determination. I have the utmost respect for him for the fact that he stayed focused on what made him happy and drove his psyche, despite any hurdles that arose.
I received the tragic news Monday evening and was even more devastated when I realized I had missed his funeral. I'm still trying to make it real in my head.
His laugh was contagious and in his smile, there was warmth. I can't believe we've lost him and I only hope he is smiling down on us from above.
Rest in peace Cinar.

My sister and I have put together and email for Cinar that we wil be sending out sometime early next week. It is to raise money for the disease/virus that took his life. I was hoping SWAMPER or anyone else who knew alot of Cinars friends could supply me with email addresses to send the mailing out to in order for it to be forwarded to a great audience.

I just got the news last night about Cinar. Foremost, my heart goes out to his family for suffering
such a loss. I know what it's like to have cancer rip a friend or loved one from right out of you
arms, because this year I lost both my favorite Aunt, and a good friend to it.
To this day I still tell the story about the night I first met Cinar, his roommate (I forget his
name, unfortunately:(), and someone who I believe was his girlfriend.
It was about 3 years ago, and I was at SYSTEM with a bunch of friends. At that time, it was hard to
find ANY trance in T.O., let alone good trance. When Fuzion came on, so did the some of the best
tracks I had ever heard. :) It didn't take long for his friends to spot me as a fellow-trance
freak (especially with all the hooting and hollering I was doing. :)) so we got to talking.
Anyways, to make a long story short, They were nice enough to invite me to their place after the
party to hang out. When it came time to leave, I realized that I had lost my car. (did I mention it
was a really fine night?;)) We got in a cab and got him to drive around in a vain attempt to find it. Nope, still couldn't find it. So I said 'screw it', and we cabbed it to there
place. I think it was around $100 there and back.
*edit* Oh yeah, I forgot the funniest part... as well as losing my car, I also forgot that I drove 3 friends down to System that night, and I totally forgot them at the club, and left the city without them, nor a way for them to get back home to mississauga. At about 10:00am the next morning I suddenly remembered when I parked, (in the fire dept's front driveway/entrance, 2 blocks away.) and by about 10:05am I suddenly remembered about my 3 friends. (yeah, they were sort of 'mad', to say the least. Oh well, at least my night was super-fun. ;) *edit*
I would bump in to him now and then at parties, and 'talk shop' with him...about spinning or
producing usually. I had no idea he was even ill. :(
I'll read the posts to get any details on where I can make a donation in his name.
Again, condolences to anyone and everyone that feels his absence.
**to his roommate/friend that I referred to, (or anybody who can pass my email along to him) drop me a line anytime. :)
