Terrible terrible news :sadgreen:
Barry was telling me about this earlier tonight on our way to Toronto, in fact... I was unaware that he went by DJ Fuzion. When I saw "Cinar Onat" I rifled through my wallet... Found his card. Saw the man spin on November 20th, 2004 inside the Purple Room in Rev alongside Dennis.
A genuinely nice guy who did not want to stop spinning that night, but they turned the lights on at 3am, much to his chagrin :)
R.I.P. Mr. Onat. |

I remember that night as if it were yesterday. I believe this was the last time I saw Cinar. We were both on stage watching PVD work his magic behind the decks; definitely a night I will never forget also... :( :( |

This is some very tough news. I really had a hard time believing it when I heard yesterday, I really believed Cinar was going to find a way to pull through this. It truly was far too soon for him to go.
I will always remember Cinar as a great friend... one of those people that didn't require a phone call every week to maintain the friendship; you just knew he was there and when you did finally hang out with him it was like you were never apart- so much fun to be with.
I absolutely loved being around Cinar, he had this positive energy that just so contagious. He was a fun loving young man with a zest for life. A very talented dj and more importantly and model person.
My deepest condolences go out to his family.
Cinar, rest in peace my friend, God bless. |

I really don't know what to say here ... I just can't beleive it.
Cinar, back in the years I remember, just when I began dj', I would look up to him, and when I asked him if he'd like to play for entrnce 2, we all go so excited about it :) that feeling he gave me I will never forget, he was also the first ta dj to play at an entrance event. I will never forget Cinar, I never really got a chance get to know him too well, but it's easy to see someone with a good heart.
My deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones. |

My condolences to his family and friends.
Upon reading this, my first thoughts were to the last time I ran into Cinar, one that makes me smile, as we both couldn't get over the odds of us running into eachother.
It was the day he was spinning @ Fluid for the Heiniken DJ contest, and I was terribly lost in Leaside that afternoon.
Just as I had given up, and was going to simply drive home in frustration, Cinar turns the corner with his records slung over one shoulder, papers and assorted bags in both hands, keys in his mouth.
After I flagged him down, and put all his stuff in my car, we got to talking. I told him about my predicament, and he too sheepishly admitted he was somewhat lost. He couldn't remember which side-street he'd parked his car.
As we cruised the neighbourhood, we talked about his set for the night... the anticipation and passion seeped through as he told me to watch for this track, or the drop in another.
Fairly soon we found his car, and loaded it up. A quick flip through the map-book, and he found the park where my game was. Both pretty upbeat about the night about to unfold for him, we shook hands.
Cinar completely turned around my day, and that's no doubt how many of you feel about his affect on yourselves.
Rest In Peace Cinar.
oh, I almost forgot.. he tore it up that night too. :) |

I have only had the opportunity to meet Cinar once. Such a nice and personal individual, if only the world had more people like him, we'd be much better off!
I send my deepest condolences to his family and friends :( |
