Barry was telling me about this earlier tonight on our way to Toronto, in fact... I was unaware that he went by DJ Fuzion. When I saw "Cinar Onat" I rifled through my wallet... Found his card. Saw the man spin on November 20th, 2004 inside the Purple Room in Rev alongside Dennis.
A genuinely nice guy who did not want to stop spinning that night, but they turned the lights on at 3am, much to his chagrin :)

I have that set. Thumpin'. Not sure if I can get RJ to post it due to copywrite, but would be happy to burn more copies. Nice label on it, too. A man of detail. Many of those who have stopped by my place in the past few months have heard that set and the "CTV Idol" set from when he played the CTV "canadian idol" party at the guv. |

| i'm quite speechless right now. i knew cinar from his bpmtv days. he worked so hard at that place, so much love and passion for his music. funny thing, i was just thinking about him today, and now i find out about this sad loss. cinar will be greatly missed. he has not only made a tremendous contribution to the TO scene, but also to the canadian dance music while working at bpm. i really can't believe he's gone. |

Many of us turned out yesterday for our friend Cinar. Not a single dry eye was left in the room. He was a fantastic friend and one of the greatest EDM Advocate that I've ever known. I don't know if I can ever bring myself back to System Soundbar knowing he won't be there.
I suppose Muzzybear and friends are all experiencing what I am right now....waves of sadness/crying. No matter how much we tried last night Caroline...it doesn't feel the same anymore for us. (Thanks Dallaster)
Cinar had many favorite songs. Liz told me that he always loved hearing -----> The mystery - Devotion
I've been searching out this song...if anyone's got it pm me please.
My last words to him was "Dahem...I know you'd like to see some hot nurses, but isn't this going a bit too far". Thats the last time I heard him try to laugh...and its the way I always wanna remember him.

Even though I never knew him or talked to him, losing someone is never nice. I'm not going to say anything acting like I knew him or anything because I didn't but I will give my condolences to the ones who did and his family.

this is sad news for me. i remebr meeting cinar at system just about 5 months ago (i think). my condolences (chek spelling) go out to cinar's family and all other close loved ones. may he rest in peace and i will miss him.
p.s. patrick i hope you get well soon, i know its very tough to have a very close frend pass away. i hope your doing well. take care buddy. |
