just listen to him talk about the quality of music around and how he doesn't like "cheesey danceable pop" when he's made a couple of iffy tracks of his own to be nice about it. then right after that, he starts blabbing about his plans to work with rock group vocalists.
then of course he starts to crap on tiesto a little, which yeah i can't disagree with...but still pretty distasteful...
then he starts in about how he invented the re edit and for live sets...i know he's been doing that sorta thing for a while now, but come on paul...your edits aren't exactly the stellar productions you seem to demand quality wise from the industry...
i've always at least had a level of respect for paul...even if i don't particularly like his newer work, but i dunno...it might have just gone out the window...
don't sit around and point out what flaws others have and then be completely oblivious to your own... |
well said! |

Ok, let's sum up the conversation in several main points:
1. PvD sucks
2. Tiesto sucks
3. Armin sucks
4. All djs suck
5. Trance sucks
Let's listen to EZListening/Smooth Jazz... this way we can move on to more meaningful threads such as "Kenny G vs. Yanni: smoothness deathmatch"

| A DJ is a DJ plus he is a person who works for a living! Abnormal? I think not! For many of you who preside over your own crappy throne and sling opinions careless as if you only know how to do just that. PVD, Tiesto, Armin, Oakie, and countless others do what they think is creative or for that matter, important to them. Be that having a choir in their set or doing a commercial Soundtrack or having a "club" TV show....so what? Everyone does thing differently over time, they shifted gear, changed, and evolved into what matters to them--uh make money to ensure their love ones well being. Sure they do command the hearts and souls of thousands over a set, but beyond that, they do what they do as a DJ and a person who does what he or she has the right to do without you guys' prejudice. Don't sit there endlessly in front of your computer and WTF this and WTF that over what a DJ does or just preying to flame a post. I mean you sit there, wasting time flaming other less "supreme" members or a DJ for your own pleasure, how pathetic is that!? What have you done lately that's even close to what some of the forementioned DJs have done/achieved?? I guess not. So please just listen to the music and let it be a source of enjoyment, a medium to communicate, an art form that transcend across people from every walk of life that channels via a choir in a set, a commercial or a TV show...let it be. Just be thankful that we have music to hear and DJs and producers to provide it! Cheesy or not is a matter of choice and taste. Don't expect all to comform to your own taste as if yours is superior. Damn it. DJ's are no exception to this comment. There is nothing set in stone for what a DJ must only do to have a successful career. |

yeah it was ahead of its time. pvd was already raping trance before everyone else decided to. which is strange since voov coproduced most of the tracks, and he acually made good tracks. |
are you confused, one post you say it sucks, the next you say its ahead of its time. You got your ass handed to you and you have not replied son...what is it? or you trying to be a troll? |

yeah, i'm the troll, yet you're the one who keeps talking about me while i'm the one who keeps talking about the music. anyway, telling me that i can't make tracks as well doesn't mean i have my "ass handed to me". i didn't say i could make better tracks. i said those tracks on 45 rpm sound bad and poorly produced, son.
and ahead of its time =! good
at least not in the case of trance
if you want to talk ahead of its time, you'd do better with messiah - thunderdome (spicelab remix). it sounds much more professional, even though it's probably the worst trance made under spicelab. and it was released a year before 45 rpm to boot. |

for an angel was a cheesefest in 1994 and in 1998. the entire 45 rpm album sounds poorly produced even for the day's standards. either that or the tracks are so bad that they sound poorly produced. |
now thats the stupidest post ever
sir u deserve to be shot in the head 45 times |

| seriously, guy who makes mixes with 50% atb tracks and 50% pvd tracks, 45 rpm sounds choppy and awkward, or something just isn't there(probably production skill). at least compared to albums of the time that were produced much better as well as contained better music. |
