| quote: | | A distraught Schapelle Corby has screamed and cried after Balinese prosecutors asked an Indonesian court to convict her and jail her for life. In Indonesia, a life sentence means a prisoner spends the rest of his or her life behind bars. |
I think i would prefer to get shot then to live the rest of my life in a jail cell.
| quote: | Today's submission by the prosecution is only a recommendation.

It will be up to the judges to determine Corby's guilt or innocence and imppose any sentence. They are not expected to hand down a verdict for several weeks. |
Lets hope they dont go for the life option

seeing the 7:30 report tonight, really left me feeling pretty crappy.
if was just so sad to see her there, at the mercy of a system which is of the opinion you're guilty until proven innocent..
all jokes aside, its just a really horrible situation..
im really hoping something comes along and works in her favour |

If i was in her position i think i would have snapped and gone on a rampage smashing every single camera that got shoved in my face day after day.
Its like a circus over there. |

1. lock your bags
2. 4.1 kg additional weight to your bodyboard bag. surely you would have noticed it?
3. once noticed don't touch the bag. report it immediately to the authorities. if you touch it, it's possession. |

not yet. i don't see how she can argue her way out.
people are getting emotional and it's clouding their judgement. she's aussie boo hoo. they need to look at the facts.
4kg of weed, seriously a big drug ring ain't gonna bother with that.
i don't think she'd get sentenced to death though.
btw, here's your update. |

Sad as the situation is i agree with u mate. It's not something you just overlook like that.
She did something dumb, got caught, real bitch of a country to get caught in but that's why they pay so well for s to try and smuggle the stuff.
I feel sorry for her family though, they will lose a daughter one way or another and they did nothing to deserve it.
Even more stupid are these new s who just got caught doing the same with smack whilst this is all over the news?!! WTF?!! :conf:
How could anyone possibly be that stupid? Even soups wouldn't do that! j/k :p |

I’m not denying that she may be innocent, nor am I denying that there are corrupt forces involved in Indonesia. I just don’t see how she can get out of it or prove her case otherwise.
and yes in indonesia, it's guilty until proven innocent. |

just turns me off ever wanting to go to a 3rd world country. guilty until proven innocent? and such little value of a single life.
ppl get less for raping and killing others, doesnt make much sense |
