I've met my share of DJs and I have to say for the most part they're all cool and down to earth...some have their issues.. but hey, we all have our quirks.

What you have to remember is that often when you read ppl bitching about a DJ being rude to them they're not being objective about what happened to them - they're pissed about not getting a chance to talk to them or get an autograph.. How many times do you see a DJ trying to mix in the next tune and you have some wanker going off trying to get their attention right that second like its the end of the world.

Welcome to the club bro' :D

the reason I go to events is #1 for the music and #2 to see the DJ.. 2 of my friends just got really bummed out in miami because they ran into tiesto at a pool party and they asked for a quick photo. he basically told them off not now. and then they refused to go see him at "Ultra" lol... Did you get into trance because of TIESTO as a person or because of the TUNAGE?? grow up peeps.. DJs have their days too.. they cant always please everyone. (altho armin seems too)

GO ARMIN!

I've also met a bunch of DJs in my time, and so far they've all been decent.

And a big +1 on what Max said about the promo CD thing, if I was throwing an event, and could choose some DJs to spin there, I would ALREADY know how good they are and thats why I would of chose them., sounds to me more like they just wanted to get a one of a kind/ rare set from him.

Swamper, there probably all nice to you as your the Jebus of TA.:haha: :D

People need to remember DJs are human beings too. Ive met litteraly hundreds of DJs, usually after they are getting off the 4th or 5th flight they have been on that weekend. People seem to forget that most times when you are likely to meet a DJ they are either 2 or 3 days into being on the road with little sleep and a bangin hang over from the previous nights gig. Many times there have been complications with flights leading to delays and generally getting them stressed out. Often the last thing people want to do when they feel like this is talk to complete strangers, who more often than not are out their nuts and making a nusence of themselves.

So what if they occasionally take the huff or ignore fans when all they want is a bed and a bit of sleep. DJs are there to play music to a crowd after that is done the DJ doesnt owe anything to anyone.

Everyone says they would love to be a DJ ect. For example The last time I spoke to a certain well known DJ he hadn't seen his daughter in 3 months because of his touring scedule and it was really getting him down, most of the car journey to the hotel all he did was show me pics of her and tell me how much he was missing her.. Im sure you can understand that its not all the glamour and glitz people think it is. So instead of sitting making srtupid posts about DJs, just remember they are people too.

yeah, but after all it's the dj's job to make people feel good, dance their ass off and just have a good night! i think that includes being nice to fans!
they just could stop touring if they want! nobody forces them! and if they don't love what they're doing they should retire!

just my oppinion!

of course it's true that it's not possible to shoot a foto with every fan and give hundreds of autographs! and they also can't smile all the time!
