Johan is nice too.. but needs to have things a certian way or he will get up set.

I never had a bad encounter with a Dj :) So I am lucky.

I thought Sasha is a cool guy.

So do I. I have met him on multiple occasions and he has been very friendly and pleasant, good sense of humor too.

my answer was "all major record stores" actually.

i give out (through my wonderful assistant lisa) plenty of free cd's as anyone can attest.

its all about how you ask someone. if they want to book me then they shouldn't need a promo cd now should they?.

"hi we want to book you but have no idea what you sound like" haha

either way catch anyone on a bad night and yes, they will rub you the wrong way

hey max, i have set of yours, oldschool, circa 99-00, im hooking lisa up with it!

have you ever met any djs that you thought were twats?

Even if Max has, it wouldnt be very wise to post this here. I doubt he would anyway ;)

Oakie was walking through some big double swinging doors which one of my brohters females mates was dancing in front of, and he slammed the doors open and knocked her over, then instead of helping her up or apologising, he stood there and laughed at her (he was prolly coked up real good).

My brother was having none of that and socked him one (not realising it was Oakie).

Bouncers soon threw my brother out and my brother got banned.

He ran into him again at a social type party a few months later in london and Oakie had a go at him whilst pissed. He twatted him again and walked out the party.

My brother = legend! :D

lol:D !

he always wants 4 business flight tickets, one for him, one for his manager and the 2 seats right and left from them have to be free!

:haha:

Some of this is purely made to see that the promotor is following the contract that the DJ has set up. The artist can be sure that the promotors
hasnt followed his special requests for gear if the promotor cant get 3 gatorades and 3 bananas.

However i have also heard that Mr Clarke is a b*tch, Radio 1īs website describes him as a "moody dj". ;)

Well, the main issue is that you don't want people making money off your performance (other than the venue and promoters etc, obviously).

One thing that happened to me when I was spinning in the UK about two years ago was that some bloke recorded my set and then put it on the internet, claiming it was him spinning.

So basically, it's all about control. I don't have anything against people recording my sets, but I want to know who's doing it and why.

easiest way to anger a deejay - steal his beer, probably why dave clarke is so mean, people steal his beer

max will attest, being Canadian, that's a violation of rights

Max tells it like it is, everyone thinks they are a deejay. I mean he lives in the hellhole of Montreal of all places, facking toronto sellout, everyone says I'm a deejay, I have 2 turntables, a mixer and records..i'm great hear me. If Max wanted to really show you how old he is, which I assume is over 30, he would post the mixtapes that he made to pay the bills back in the mid 90's. Go see max tho, he's funny and hope he scratches while setting the levels, quite funny....please max, make more like sepia again!

great thread... missed it until now....

i've met a crapload of djs and don't really have anything bad to say about them... but just to defend deep dish... i met them once in ibiza... and i was trying to get their autograph and a picture with them when this old ass ing of a spaniard (probably like 55+) comes up to me and my friend, ed up out of his mind, and starts telling us how it was his club (pacha) and how we can't take a picture with deep dish (which was COMPLETE bull).... anyway, he harasses us for like 10 minutes (no joke) and slaps my digital camera out of my friend's hand, etc... anyway, point being that all that time deep dish were cool enough to help out, talk to the guy, wait for him to leave and still take the pic with me and autograph some ... totally nice guys!

Oakie, my brother has been in 2 fistfights with him and was banned from Home, lol :D

To be fair, it sounds like your brother needs anger management rather than Oakey being a twat.

If you called him Paul van Dyke, I'm not surprised.

The owner of Pacha is old and Spanish, so maybe it really was him...?
