Startling sex survey of teens

So yesterday the results of a survey were released that indicated that teens are having SEX!!! :eyespop: :eyespop: Average age of teens that lose their virginity is 16.5...:eyespop: :eyespop:
I don't get it...what's so startling about this?! :conf: :conf: :conf: |

This seems like a quack study, with the purposes of wasing my tax dollars on keeping SOME idiots employed. Maybe it's BECAUSE they have low self esteem that they smoke and drink. There are just too many discrepancies if you read the damn report.
And according to the same freaking report, the average age of teen sex has INCREASED in the last 20 to 30 years, thus they're older.
F***ing government. I could think of a hundred better things to spend money on than this pointless "study". |

British teenagers are engaging in a form of group sex called "daisy chaining" that puts them at higher risk for STDs such as HIV/AIDS. The practice involves teenagers going to each others' homes to engage in sex with multiple partners.
The teens engaging in this practice are often unaware of the dangers involved. A 14-year-old boy who had contracted AIDS refused to believe he had the disease, saying "[AIDS] only happens to older people."
The "daisy chain" fad is part of a teenage culture in which children are pressured to become sexually active at an increasing early age.
Kathy French, a sexual adviser who works with teens, believes television dramas and magazines have played an important role in creating this culture. "If you look at the soaps or in magazines, everyone is having sex," she said.

And further sign of degenerating of society. Too much sex in media, not enough responsibility to teach the teens about sex.
Teens having sex because it's cool because it's on tv. And they have no clue to the consequences.
Every time I hear a story like this AID story, or another teen pregnancy, I wonder, where the were the parents. |

The startling thing about the survey was the number of PRE-teens having sex... it said that 1 in 8 teens had sexual intercourse before the age of 14.
