It was my first time at the docks.. tied with BOA for my favourite club.

Tenaglia is a soul machine.

It was my first time there too and I must say that I LOVE the club (just close the blinds please! Last thing I want is sunlight INSIDE the club :p )

The chill out area to the left is by far the best chillout spot of any club. I dunno why but I just felt so comfortable there.

'twas amazing indeed. was nice to by away from the guv. sketchyness for once (don't get me wrong still love the guv just in different way). i have to agree with infinity HiGH, and my only complaint was too much light. other than that perfect all of it the crowd, the venue, the staff, and especially the DJ.........what was his name again........

WOW!!! I have to say that I was never really into house music, but there is not one Dj that creates a vibe and a party like DT. He is a legend. This is my first time and will not be the last time I go to his sets. You can't help but move all night. He is Great. For people who have seen him, do it. I did and it was Magical.

So this party deserves a proper review from me.

Ray, RJ and I got in at around 11 and the place was sort of empty but the tunes were good. At first I was surprised that Danny wasn't on from the very beginning but Matt C played very well. I learned that he was the DJ at Industry and that was nice to experience because I never was at Industry when it was a club.

I got a few drinks in the time we were waiting for people to show up and Danny T to start. I was not in the best mood before the drinks but once I got slightly hosed ;), I felt the night was going to be good. Slowly, all my peeps started coming in and I met some new great TOTAs, for example illnada (this girl IS ill, in a good way).

He finally came on at 1:45 p.m. from which I guess they were tweeking the sound system until he was satisfied with and and was ready to go the long stretch.

I was really getting into the groove and most of the folks from the other parties showed up like Kevin, Fuad and Rachelle. He got really trancy at at point and then the announcement that he wasn't going to wait any longer for the other folks to show up and the dirty ass bass line kicked in. After that, I didn't even know how much time went by ;) but all of a sudden there was light coming into the place.

RJ and I went to sit down and saw some poster people from "faces of meth" which was pretty scary. Apperently, this lady was 32 years old but her face was of at least one of a 60 year old. No lie, because I saw her later, up close, outside and it was even worse than from afar.

After that, my time was spend mostly running around the whole place and dancing with different people and meeting more people all over. Crazy stuff happened when I met someone from work and he was all freaked out that I was there and saw him. But buddy was pretty ed so paranoia is a bitch.

Ray and RJ left sometime late morning and I decided to stay with Larissa and the rest of the later crew. And I'm glad I did because Danny went on the mike and said: "So, what do you want to here?" He went on to list different types of house and as soon as he said "Tribal", I along with all the other folks went nuts. I guess Toronto loves the tribal. So he played some funky tribal, not DDTT but still pretty nice drums.

When I left at 1:45, he was spinning classic house tunes from way back that I never heard.

Overall, the night was amazing and will definitely go down in the books as one of the best parties of this year. The night was way better than the previous night at The Docks because of the DJ Booth set up and just the entire vibe of the place.

I decided to leave because I knew that it would add any to the experience and that I would be listening to tunes for the next whole day and night so I called it quits. I mean once you have the most fun there isn't really anything that will make it better.

One thing that did save me was that around 11:30 they opened the pizza stand and I was finally able to eat something. Sorry to Jen for complaining every five seconds how hungry I was. And Jen, I didn't look confused, that's the "give margaret food" face, my brain is soooo big that it needs nurishment on a regular basis. :) In my club, food would be one of the priorities.

For sure, too bad I can't eat when I'm wired though.

LOL... Marg you are too cute :gsmile:

It didn't bother me one bit that you were complaining for food.. if I could have helped you out sooner with that I would have... I was more amused at you hiding your other food from certain people ;)
