I realized that when i started seeing threads like this:

01. What's Tiesto's Favorite Color?
02. Where Can I Get The Sweater Tiesto Was Wearing At His Last Show?
03. Is Tiesto The Second Coming?
04. If Tiesto Was A Smurf, What Smurf Would He Be?

for the record i never even entered those topics :p
MichaelBoogerd!

Been 2 weeks since i checked out something other than the tracklists & opinion/question/party report sections... thanks god i don't have time to spend on there that often anymore!

I am sorry bro, but that didn't come out right. Sure you can drop Traffic like Tiesto.... Hell I can drop Traffic like Tiesto, but can you write a song like Traffic the way Tiesto does? Sure the song is overplayed, but you know why it is over played, because it was that good. And don't get me wrong, I am actually an Armin Van Buuren fan but Djing and Producing go hand and hand, and alot of people take that into consideration when it comes time to vote who is #1 on the poll. And that is why Tiesto is #1. I know everyone wants to take the crown away from who ever is on top, but you got to give him some credit.

Just because a song is played doesn't make it good. Go listen to commercial radio and tell me that the newest backstreet boys single is good simply because of it's popularity. Tiesto is number one because those same backstreet boys fans voted for the best DJ.

I actualy like that song. Just because a song is popular or gets overplayed won't make me like a song any less so I would have gone nuts hearing someone play that back in the day.

No, we can't, because he really didn't make Traffic. See the tune called Sean Deason - Pyskofuk or whatever it's called. Tijs sampled most of it.

just because you're number one doesn't give you the excuse to not challange yourself and take things to the next level

sure he doesn't do 5 min transitions or play 4 different tracks at once, but why not? he's number one, i'd expect the number one dj in the world to be able to wow me when he plays, show me something new that i don't know yet, push the limits... he has one job, you'd think he'd try to be as best as he can at it

he's just sitting there riding on his success not doing anything more

and about him playing too much and recording a lot

i play over 230 shows annually right now and i still push the envelope and try new things, i don't just show up and half ass my way through a gig, people pay hard earned money to hear me play and i never let them down, fans come first

tiesto needs to pull his head out of his ass and stick in back in his record bag

I think Tiesto should wow you by making songs so you can play them & feel the energy from the crowd off of HIS tracks...sure this thread is about "Tiesto live djing skills" So, maybe he is not the best Dj, but when he makes tracks like he does, that has to count for something, and if it doesn't count for anything to you, then I would hope you don't have the nerve to play any of his songs. Be a person of your word, if you think he sux that bad and you say he needs to get his head out of his ass, then don't bother playing his songs. You got to understand your "limit pushing" is hardly anything compared to what he has done for dance music. Bottom line.. it is called the Dj poll but most the top Dj's are Producers first and that is how he has got this success to ride off of.

and credited that artist and the artist said he liekd it better than his as it took it in a different direction.

Sample smample, Dance music grew from sampling culture.

i doubt Sean Deason is complaining about it as he would have got payed.

of course i've wrecked, i'm human, happens, it's inevitable
levels no, i'm a producer and spot on levels are a must for me

however, i never said anything about his technical ability, i've heard the man play many times and know he can spin some records, which is why i made my post... like what happened to tiesto? he pulled his head out of his records and shoved it so far up his ass he can see his tonsils, then his ego kicked in, his head inflated and now he can't pull it out

the first time i heard him back in 2001 i think it was (he was only in the top 10 at the time), he blew me away

the big thing i'm trying to get across, don't just go to your gigs and stand there and play records, get into it, show me you actually want to be here instead of "i'm getting paid a lot of money to be here, bow down to me and cheer"

earn your extravagant paycheque, or someone else will

Do you know Tiesto?? How do you know his ego kicked in??? He has to act #1 if he is #1. He has an imagine to uphold !!! He has to think of his career.

Look at movie stars, you think they act that way when they are at home with there friends...NO, they only act like that when they are on the Jay Leno show. And of course it is all about the money..what isn't about the $$$ when your dealing with buisness. And Tiesto put on a great show when I saw him

It doesn't matter how they started, producing and DJings are two completely different things.
