Yes, it's true that 95-99% of Muslims are against terrorism.... but it's also true that 95-99% of terrorism is carried out by Muslims!
I suggest you read this book and visit the website:

The best way to honour the victims of this tragedy is to ensure that it never happens again. |
thats just plain wrong. blaming a religion for acts of extremists. how would people feel if someone would come up with the book "the problem with christianity" discussing how it influenced the KKK. |

| Religion is what is ed with this world. I'm not targeting islam, christianity, judaism, none of that stuff. I'm targeting every single religion in our world right now because if you look at the history of any of these religions you'll notice that many of them have fought to preserve/spread their own. Islam is no more to blame than Christianity is. |

I dunno Marg, I think that kind of discussion is warranted...and will inevitably get people riled up. comes with the turf I guess.
I read elsewhere that two more undetonated bombs were discovered in London today. |
i guess whoever this this wants us to talk about the reasons for it. but we don't have to beat it to death.
Other than Shadowolf, does anyone actually think that all Muslims are to blame for this? |

| My condolences to all those who may be affected. Humans are such strange creatures sometimes. |

Umm...you have to go back several centuries but it was commonplace. How do you think the Turks wrested control of Constatinople (now Istanbul) in the 15th Century? It was the main Christian city in the Middle Ages.
Spain was nearly conquered totally by Muslims throughout the 9th-11th centuries, but eventually drove them out by the 1480s. Greece was subjected to 4 centuries of Muslim Turkish rule until 1821. |
Maybe i should have been more clear. With respect to the terrorist attacks that have been plagueing societies in the last 5 decades...when have you seen a muslim/middle eastern nation attack a european one.
The invasions you metnioned dont really have a correlation to the issue at hand.. its like me mentioning Persians conquering parts of greece. We al know there is no correlation there.
But when you look at the current situaiton.. you have the US occupying two muslim nations (iraq and afghanistan) and israel occupying the palestinians ( which is viewed as an american proxy state by muslims nevertheless), which isnt making that region all too happy. Along with that.. Britain was behind the US's back all the time.
Thats where im getting at. |

Time for me to Weigh in.
When I heard the news today, I was at work. One of our staff started talking about multiple subway bombings in the London Undergound, I went cold. That's a really REALLY busy city, and incredibly complex infrastructure. More so, the Involved Records / Anjunabeats Offices are just a short distance away from a station. Turns out things are fine, but still.. 38 people are dead as of this writing. 700 injured, and both numbers will rise, I'm sure.
As open as I am to other people's opinions, I'm completely closed when it comes to accepting ass-backwards logic. The ass-backwards logic in question comes from people who sit and try to argue that this kind of action was provoked. More so, I hate seeing this boiled down to religious undertones. Ass-backwards doesn't even begin to describe the flowing through whatever Space Cadet decides to pack him or herself full of explosives and take a walk in a crowded market. Wether you're a Jew, Muslim, Christian, Hindu.. Jesus, I don't care. There's not a SINGLE MAJOR RELIGION that I've ever heard of that preaches war or violent acts as a core principle. I don't even like seeing the word 'Muslim Extremist', because they're not even in the same ing ballpark as nine tenths of Muslims I know. Hell, they're not even in the same league. , kids. That's not even the same ing Sport.
There is NOTHING WRONG WITH ISLAM.
There is SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU.
Take that book and shove it. Sideways.
..I too am going for a beer. |

it's like you wish people were hurt so you are right. . |
Well, I am sorry I didnt write a long story to explain myself. I meant to say that Bush will use the terrorist attacks on its soul to bolster his popularity to fight mroe wars, just like 9/11. I dont want them to happen, but in reality, with Bush's popularity dwindling, I see no other solution ... just like before 9/11 his popularity was very low.
I wish there were no wars in the world and no suffering. I am just predicting, thats all. Even Nostradamus is predicting as to what I am saying. Bush is a monster. He will do anything to go down as the Great president of US. I think we all have seen enough terror of his, and I still cant believe he got reelected. What were the American people thinking ... :disbelief |
