Jeez...I always throw on CP24 when I wake up, and this morning I was greeted by this.
Its so scarry when you look at those pics, and think about yourself being in a situation like that. |

| It just dawned on me why the stations might not be "big targets". As the bombs were most likely set off with a local timer (wrist watch, clock, etc) NOT a cell phone. (as the tube underground does not have reception) It was likely the terrorists were estimating when the trains would be in what area/ what time. |

It hit home when I thought about the countless times I've sat at King's Cross Station waiting to meet up with a crew to head to the club. SHOCKING.
It also blows my mind that I used to take an Edgeware train EVERYDAY to Notting Hill.

I'm just happy its not worse than it is, it could have been very easily!

| Freaking ridiculous. It really is a sign of things to come. Scarry to think about it. Hopefully there won't be too many deaths, but even one is one too many. |

While this may have been true 2-3 years ago, currently support for president Bush is at an all time low. I believe that another successful terrorist attack on US would highlight the ineffectual nature of Bush's "war on terrorism" and mount public opinion against him. It is true that another terrorist attack on the US could galvanize support for the radical right.
