Ugh this whole conversation is making me ill....so sad to think of our world in these "situations".
I have sent my condolences to the people of UKTA. Unfortunatley, I feel so angry right now because, being from New York, my immense feelings have come flooding back from past terror in the city.
Its also a strange feeling when you feel like you are in a bubble...you feel like the world is an ok place, that everything that is happening is only on TV, not in your own back yard. You wake up, go to work, go to a club, go to sleep, repeat. That is your world. But then when it DOES happen, it feels so surreal. And when reality hits, all you can think about is revenge, but doesn't that sink you to their level? What has happened in London has brought back so many of those feelings, and that is what is making me feel SICK.
The anger and frustration can be overwhleming when the violence fianlly affects your world!! And on that note, many props to the Brits for holding it together over there. |

Bali was considered a terrorist attack against Australia as Australians were the target.

I hope this is a wakeup call to the RCMP to keep an eye out on religious extremists here in toronto and montreal and vancouver. These ******s need to be flushed out |

Canada is a ticking time bomb waiting to go off.
CSIS and the RCPM's lax attitude towards the extremist groups combined with the Liberal government’s refusal to act on the extremist groups (they want the related culture's vote after all) is a recipe or disaster.
I pray to God the day never happens (however I somewhat suspect it will). |

I think fears of canada being attack are a bit overhyped, canada is pretty much a blimp in the worlds attention span. plus when western countires are attacked by such islamic terorr groups it is due to a percieved anti-muslim bias. the US case is obvious, spain and aus because of their troops in iraq as with case in uk. even mulsim countries which seem to help out the US are attacked, pakistan and egypt.
canada doesn't fit in this category it would make as much sense as bombing holland or france.
(disclaimer: these attacks are irreprehensible im just trying to make note of the pattern of these attacks, these people in their sense of the world have drawn the lines of war) |
