I know everytime I hear Babor vs. Audiotechture - Make You King.. I'm reminded how pissed I am I missed it when it was released and patiently waiting for a repress!
speaking of Preach.. listened to the Jay Denham closing set at Tresor.. he drops the Marco G & Preach Song 2 Bro remix like 11 min in! was a bit surprised

I still refuse to let my roomie talk about Nov 7, 2003.. when I missed a crazy Siegling set @ Aria.. I chose instead to see Stanny Franssen, Sven Dedek & Alex Bau the night before but ended up missing Stanny!! :whip:
Siegling is a treat to watch though for sure! class act :) |

Kate, did you find out that there is no NYE awakenings party?
I'm being forced to take mandatory holidays during our office shut down and Colin and I are thinking about going somewhere to party. |

ya my sources already told me :(
My ticket for Amsterdam is booked already though and I know I'll end of at some wicked techno party.. the problem is that there will probably be several events close by with maybe 2 solid techno headliners, and usually not the 6 or 7 you come across at Awakenings..
I just hope some of the other dutch techno promoters step in to try to fill the BIG party void.
All else fails I will make the most of my trip and take a mini detour over to Fuse.. which is a pilgrimmage I planned to do at some point anyway. |

Fuse would be INCREDIBLE.
Despite having a ticket to amsterdam (was it cheap? You're flying from Ireland right?) you could easily jet to another party in Europe.
I wonder when the new years line ups will start coming out... |

Yup.. flying from Dublin. I considered the idea of going off to Spain or Germany or something, but I am actually only going to be in Holland for 3.5 days as it is, plus I will be visiting a good friend. :)
Fuse is just one of many places on my to do list.. barring I win the lottery, most of my techno tourism will have to start late next year when I plan to be in Europe. At least then I won’t have to just pick one or two events during a trip, it’ll be in the backyard!
- I hear Fuse is actually quite small too believe it or not.. capacity 1200 ish?
I wasn’t expecting the now not happening Awakenings lineup to be announced at least until late Oct or early Nov, mainly since they already have another Awakenings before that in October and that lineup isn’t out yet either. We’ll probably start to see it first in the dj schedules before promoters start announcing it. Right now it’s probably just a bidding war.
ILT lineup is starting to come together though! I noticed Tiga is on the bill, I knew he has played at 10 days off, but not sure if he ever played ILT.. sweet booking for him!!
