nah.. the only way we'd see a techno serbian dj in these parts is probably if I paid for it out of my own pocket. (I have offered to do that for Murphy actually.. but can't ju$tify the flight costs!)
anyway, I have a feeling it will be too good to be true, but I am hopeful!
-If it happens a lot of 'heads will come out of quasi-retirement for it no doubt.

I opened my windows media and noticed new Tiefshwarz and Anthony Rother mixes in my history - when the hell did I download those?! lol...(must have been stoned)...but the Rother set is pretty dirty! Mixing is tight too. The tiefshwarz one I haven't really checked out yet - hopefully it will be better than the one I have of just Ali where the mixing is absolutely AWFUL (like worst mixing I've ever heard from someone who is touring the world DJing...so so bad) but the tracks are stellar.

listening to this Beyer set now.. at first I thought they had the wrong date.. I hear a lot of oldies in the set but he drops some nostalgic tracks like Perfect Match and Vocal Image :D

Although it seems this hurricane katrina is supposed to arrive in Ontario on Thursday and then track along the St. Lawrence in the days following...hopefully we'll be in the clear by Sunday! |

I'm stoked too.. I haven't been to a Piknic all month!
woke up Sunday morning thinking it was going to rain half the day, then it cleared up, by then I was on my way to see Batman Begins @ the IMAX, and noticed afterwards it had poured again! boooo
My weekend starts Thursday when I go see the Hacker @ Parking. :)
I've been tame all summer.. I'm in party mode now..sorta! :cool: |

It's not that the people don't like their techno anymore.. I know many people who are just frustrated and jaded with the options (and venues) we manage to get. I love seeing djs at Aria.. but a lot of people I can't convince to come out for techno headliners see it as a dark dingy drug hole (what did they think Sona was? hehe) and past its heyday.
