I was going to post that one but the DL kept crapping out on me :(
anyway... I don't love ALL rush sets.. but he tends to be a little more interesting than his hard german counterparts.

boooo to missing Rush by ONE DAY in Barcelona.
I have been ITCHIN to go to florida135 and I can't. wish I had planned it right into our trip - I want to go *that* bad.
I really like the Beyer (Carola?) set - what is the track at 25 mins? It's also in Barbara's crossover NYC set. If Carola is playing this funky nowadays, I'd definitely check him out again. the last couple of sets I've heard him play in TO have been snoozers. |

my guess is Carola personally. Were you @ System last October when Carola played? I made the roadtrip since JF was geigh enough to book Barbara with Tiesto and then Oakie & Carola as the only techno headliners for the late summer/fall.. but he played like 8 hours @ Aria and only 2 at System!!

I don't think I was there last October. Who else played? I've seen Carola a handful of times and I can't recall exactly when other than that set he played with Valentino and Beyer (the ONLY time I've ever heard Beyer and it was GORGEOUS....esp when he played rippin and dippin pt. 2 :D ) and that was March 2003.
Looks like both Carola and Beyer played that night, judging from the meganite gallery -

Preach played as did Greg Gow.. (Blue anniversary party?) t'was fun.. didn't see the chin stroking massive that I half expected with Toronto though ;)
- got to chill with marco for a bit after his set though.. sexy accent.. hehe
I think Beyer is a cutie.. but he has gotten lankier over the years.. I would take his face on Liebing's body though :tongue3

ah yes, I remember that night, I think I was out elsewhere.
I'm downloading the two infamous hawtin mixes (live in Montreal and live in Glasgow) and the Rush mix. all are going really slowly. I figure by the time I have to bear that 5 hr train to Mtl in Sept I'll be well stocked. :)
I'd take Adam's face on Chris' body but with Adam's height.

you'll have that 3.5 hour Carola & Gaetano for the way back ;)
Chris is quite tall as well, 6'1 I think! Adam is 6'3 as is Umek.. and oddly enough share the same birthday. how I know that useless piece of information is beyond me... hehe |
