I love the latest design...great car that does what it's intended to do...look cool and go fast :p
It's just not an terribly practical choice for Canadians unless you have another car for the winter...and you don't mind that gas prices continue to soar.
Personally I'd take something with AWD (like a Subaru) over the 'stang any day if I had to deal with winter. WRX or Legacy GT all year long > 'stang in the summer and a beater in the winter ;) |

| Im saving for 1992 svt cobra they came with a 351 5.8 L...but ill probably drop a 302 5.0 in it..I love stangs i am a big fan.. |

| I like the mustang but I would never buy one. There are just too many of them on the road and the vehicle has lost its appeal because of that. |

My mother drives an '00 Mustang V6, 5-spd.
It is an enormous pile of and I hope it explodes. What a useless ing engine, and the absolute worst quality interior I have ever seen on a car bar none. |

the lower model has always been a bit of crapper...except maybe the old LX 5.0...I'd never buy one either...pointless to have a "sports car" with no balls.
I'd put the interior of the 1st gen Neon up against the 'stang for all-time cheapest though :D
on the plus side for 'stangs...parts are plentiful and the aftermarket is *huge*...drop in a big blower along with a few other mods and 500rwhp is within reach...handling isn't as bad as some people say and can be made quite good with some work.
still...far from my first choice. I'd take an STi over a Cobra in a *heartbeat* |

Why would yo udo that?
....So you're gonna buy a Ford that was modified by the Special Vehicle Team, and you're going to replace the modified engine with a smaller engine? |

| ^^^ I'm guessing that it might be easier to mod the 305 than the 351...i.e. easier and cheaper upgrade path to more power than the stock 351? |
