Rule 9: If you are at a house party and the DJ has been playing Electronic Dance Music, do not go up to him and ask if he can play Gasolina or Pon de Replay
Rule 10: If the DJ is spinning and has a laptop with him, do not ask him if you can go on you MSN and see whos online. The Laptop doesnt have internet connection you wank. |

A lot depends on the type of club...certain things are fine at one type of club and just not right at others. |

I agree to a certain point. Unless these 'circle dancers' u guys speak of, are going out of their way to annoy you... There really shouldnt be an issue. The next guy whos dancing the same way you are could be just as annoying because hes say, i dunno..waving his arms in the air too much. Honestly, what will it be next?
As for cell phones in clubs - why should anyone care if ppl are trying to make calls? If they are having problems hearing the person on the other end, then why is it your problem?? LOL |

Rule 8
Don't dance in a little circle with all your friends....dance like everyone else and face the DJ...show some respect. |
I didnt know this was mandatory. I prefer clubs where people are there to party with their friends to the music rather than bow to the almighty dj god.
I miss the days when even international guests were off in a corner where u could hardly see them. Industry had the most obscure dj booth for example and that place is legendary and GASP ---- PEOPLE DANCED IN ALL DIRECTIONS!!!

| If there's something you see and don't like or annoyed by that .. move to somewhere else or choose a different place to party. Enuff said. |

well ive always said this... but i thought id start this thread so that people could see it from the dj booth's point of view.
whistles, cell phones, people chanting, dancing in circles. This all ADDS to the flavour of a club in my opinion. I wish people in Canada would do outrageous things at clubs but sadly they cant even get away with dancing with their back to the dj it seems. |

Rule 3b - Just because you're of Asian decent does not give you the right to sit in circles in the middle of the floor staring at eachother! |
:stongue:
I haven't seen anything bad at all compared to what happens back at home, but nonetheless, a good rule.
I sometimes don't get the way asians consider it a party if you just sit there munted out of your head. Surely you can put on any old CD that's EDM, and get munted out of your head. You save money that way as well. I also don't get why asians seem to have a problem with everyone else (other asians included) when they're out partying. Nor the need to be rude with the pushing through... a simple "excuse me" or "sorry" and a hand on someone's shoulder/back/whatever to let them know you're addressing them works well enough for me, so why not for the rest of them? |

Like some others, I disagree. I don't need to see the DJ's face to enjoy his music. Just because I'm not facing him does not mean that I won't go as nuts when he drops a good track as the friends who I'm dancing with, who are facing in the "right" direction.
Sorry if the above sentence was a little run-on. |
