Rule #1: The dancefloor is not meant as a place to stand and chat it up with your pals. I hate when I go to clubs and there are always a group of 3 or 4 just standing there pondering the meaning of life while everyone else is dancing. That is always when I dance even harder than before and go crazy. That makes them get out of the way!
Rule #2: Don't grind up against me because I looked at you for half a second.
Rule #3: Smell good but don't bathe in the cologne!
Rule #4: Let me grab at your ass as you walk by on the crowded dancefloor :tongue3

has NOTHING TO do with that. If a Dj is gonna get all upset cause some douche holds up some sign requesting Celine Dion then thats THEIR own problem.

Right. There is absolutely no logical reason for a DJ to get upset when some douchebag on the dance floor tries to tell them how to do their job.

I'd like to see you get on a bus and suggest an alternate route to the driver. See where that gets you. Or get in a cab and tell them to turn their CB off and change the radio station to Z103.

When there is little space as is...say like the guv...then I don't want a group of people making their own space by dancing in a circle and making sure they have space.

But that's exactly why they do it. They want space so they can actually turn around and bust a move, rather than just rolling their faces off on the dancefloor and occasionally jumping up and down or shaking their fists.

You forget that people go to these clubs to dance, and it's absolutely infuriating when rude people invade your dancing space and shove you to the side on their way to the bathroom, or the bar, or the next girl they're trying to pick up. Or worse, when they invade your dancing space and just stand there. In front of you. Doing nothing at all, except maybe smoking a cigarette or spilling their drink everywhere while they get even more faced.

This may be hard to understand for the people who do drugs every single time they go out and never dance (or for the trance crackers whose idea of dancing is waving their hands in the air like retards), but for the people who actually still have the mental and physical faculties to move their legs and/or hips to the beat, the circle is the only salvation, the only way to prevent the sketchy idiots from killing your buzz and ruining your night.

Do not diss the circle. If the club is that crowded anyway, why do you really give a if other people try to make some dancing space? You can always go somewhere else to stare vacantly at the DJ booth or at the ceiling.

a) make a lame come on
b) cop a feel
c) invade their god given right to occupy more space than everyone else in a rammed club

Just give 'em what they want. Feel 'em up & see if you can pick them as you try and get past :D

As for invading their space, they can piss off. It's there to share.

Anyway, worse comes to worse, you at least cop a feel, and disillusion them more, making them think "all guys want me for is sex", which'll learn 'em for night being polite and leaving you be when you merely wanna get past :P

(Don't know where that rant came from... oh well)

Actually, that's a good idea. For the ones that act really bitchy, politely tell them you're just passing through or trying to get to the bathroom, and as soon as they look away, spank their ass as hard as you possibly can.

COULD NOT AGREE MORE!

how difficult is it to be polite and not push ur way through, maybe take a little detour to get through without pushing ppl. So many times I was pushed by some beefcakes or their hoes just because they felt they had the right to walk through and stop where I danced pushing me aside- I hate when it happens- once I got really angry and pushed back- but really, it does nobody any good.

But I have to say that there are stil some very nice ppl out there who will say sorry if accidently bump into u, or will try to help when ur beeing pushed around- BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO DO THAT!

come up with all the analogies youd like it still is stupid if the Dj gets upset.
Requesting isnt telling them how to do their job. Its basically saying I like that song. Could you play it? The dj makes the decision. If he thinks its stupid ,he sees the sign and moves on. Doesnt get all upset and rant and rave in his head about people telling him how to do his job. buwhahaha, that would be funny to see though.

a Dj's tracklist isnt always set before the show, so who knows. Maybe the requested song would fit in nicely, where a bus route is fixed. Besides, the driver would just say screw off. Not get all worked up and bitch about it later. Its not like the driver even set the route to begin with.
Same with the cab. The radio is a set thing they need to use. they typically have the radio going anyways :p.
Its not like the person is up their with a record in hand trying to get it to be played. Its a stupid sign. If the DJ thinks its stupid then ignore it / move on .

Seriously, if you get worked up over that you have some personal issues to deal with.

On noes a sign with a song on it while im spinning. Im gonna go roid rage , and go balistic. gimme a break.

*keep in mind ive never made such a sign and never will:eyespop:*

its one thing to talk to the guy and ask a request... its another to try and bully him into it by making your feelings public which is exactly how they take it.

You guys can ponder it all you want... all im saying is that for whatever reason DJs dont like it and it doesnt make you look very good to them when you do it. So unless you dont care about respecting their feelings, dont do it.

ahaha. yet you go on about how its not about the dj but about the music. So who gives a if some dork holds up a sign? why even give it more then 1 second of thought if you think its dumb? Ignore it and look at the people enjoying themselves.

Dont keep thinking about it and let it ruin your night.

Its like when some cracked out asian lady comes full steam into you while you are enjoying some moves. Do you sit there and sulk the rest of the night and let it totally ruin it? of course not!

Euphorica
