well done...
not one singular track, but rather Tiesto's Innercity/ Oakenfold's Shanghai China E-mix signalled the dawn of a new music taste for me. |

There was so many I have been listening to house since 1999...
then I got interested in trance so I listened to some of oakenfold..
I went back in forth with house and trance... I listened to alot of chemical brothers, daft punk, french funk...antoine claraman...
then I listened to Tiesto's set at dancevalley and it just blew my mind, at that point I moved on to Armin and Ferry's Indigo!! thats the song that got me hooked!! INDIGO!! :D |

although i've been listening to lots of stuff since the mid nineties from the chemical brothers to prodigy to everything but the girl tunes like "block rocking beats" and "setting sun" and prodogy's "i got the poison i got the remedy" .
but since this thread calls for the tune that got you hooked i'de say
in 1999, it was either:
TasteXperience - Highlander
Nalin & Kane - Beach ball
Energy 52 - Cafe del Mar
or
Alena - Turn It Round
these tunes brings good ass memories
also the tune that sparked my interest in HOUSE was
Banda Sonora - Guitarra G in 01, although i ressisted house untill i gave into it in 03. |

Im trying to think of some of the original songs ive DL'ed from a long time ago when i first pulled tracks of the internet.... anyone remember "Flying Rhino Productions/Records"?
I Think the very first track I DL'ed has got to be one of my all time Fav's back in the late 90's. I just found some random site offering tracks for DL'ing. I don't have the song on this computer. I'll post it later.
I still have the very first CD I burnt and it's still in my car.. this CD must be at least 10 years old. The songs aren't as "in depth" as the latest trance, but they have the beat/energy to get you moving, which got me hooked in the first place, and i still listen to it - i tend to get a chill down my spine when i hear a wicked track. anyone else ever get this?
another side of trance which has blown me away is how some classical music has been remixed. I'll post some of the tracks i have another time.
cheers |
