I really hope he gets snapped up by another venue. I will miss his work otherwise. |

I just heard the news, and was stunned!
System's Breathe nights were absolutely the best thing to have happened to this city. They put our EDM scene on the map! I remember meeting people in Miami for WMC, and them telling me how lucky we all were in Toronto to have had a night like this, a place where so many great djs have graced us with their presence. Only today can I fully comprehend what they were all talking about.
System was definitely more than just another club for me, it was a home, as a regular partier and a dj. I grew up with the club, and it was the only place I felt like I truly belonged to. What's worse, after 6 years of regular clubbing, I can't believe I will not even be around for the last event ever!
Thank you for all the memories System, for you will be missed.

You're not wrong.
but it was also at system soundbar where I had a 2x4 fall on my face during renovations requiring a trip to emergency, multiple stitches and permanent scarring.
System is not a part of my life anymore. Why is it horrible that I won't miss it? |
Sorry I guess I felt that you owed the place a little more respect but I will say that is my opinion and I know you won't agree with it. Maybe saying nothing at all would have been more up my alley, accidents happen. |

Jah! There was a time (2003/2004) when it felt like DJ Dan was there every month!! His system sets were always highly enjoyable!

Sad news indeed. :sadgreen:
I was talking to Form&Function (Aaron Mossey) about this today and I have to agree with him, the beginning of the end started with those 'foam parties'...the focus from the club just seemed to fuzz after that...
I think my fav memories were the backroom TOTA get togethers; great memories! Awesome TOTA talent! Always a pleasure to see everyone's smiling faces, all there for tOOns!!
Big, big props to John / Interference for hosting a lot of great nights and for special hookups at the door for us all to take advantage of @ SS. :toocool: |

| This really took a lot of the appeal out of Lawler in Toronto IMO. Lawler @ System was one of the best parties of the year everytime I was there. Lawler @ System > Lawler @ Guv. |

How is saying my life will go on without system soundbar DISRESPECT?
I have never been anything more than appreciative to John and TOTA for what was an awesome night, but if you expect one gig to make up for a completely unnecessary and preventable incident, then you need to give your head a shake. |
