| This is the worst day I've had in a looooong time...and hearing about this just made it worse. System Soundbar has become my 2nd home for a about a couple of months now....I was introduced for the first time as a TA there thanks to Margaret and Jon. Sooo many great sets and sooo much dirty tunage...where shall we go for some dirty haus on a friday? (besides footwork) This truly is a dark day...I'm a VERY sad Cribby...:( |

System for me...was where I started. It's were I spent some great times with my friends
it's gonna be hard for me to let it go
it's a part of me now...and I don't know how i'll feel when it's not there for me to be at

I used to be at System every friday when i first moved into Toronto. What was great about System was that whether it was a Residents night or a headliner the vibe was always great and it felt like a community there.
I thought that kind of went away after they renovated, for me some of the magic left after that happened, but never the less, i will miss it!

Couldn't agree with you more that the Max Graham parties were great!
Richie Hawtin in January 04 was amazing...
Roger Sanchez in 04...
But probably my favourites were the Deko-ze Mayhem parties!

Only been there a couple of times. PErsonally I liked it better before the renovations. I always had a good time there. I remember the first time I was there I heard a wicked track "Freaks - Mougai".
I went with Josh and Chadly84 and some other friends...that was such an awesome night.

*sigh*. I never thought I'd get sad about something like this but .:whip: I will miss the place mostly because of the good times I've had with a LOAD of you all.
Fav System moments:
Bday 03 with Steve Porter dropping tunes. Got insanely trashed and bounced around w Beh, Christina, Emz, Jon, John, and a few others...remember the bs I kept rambling on about Jon? Muahahha.
Cattaneo spinning for the first time there, RULED. Kicked my ass all over the place.
Joof 02 was amazing.
Oldschool TOTA Invasion nights.
Howells sets, the one or two I caught.
Hawtin 04 RULED. I remember freezing my ass off that night...couldn't feel my legs.

just to nit pick. ;)
I was shaking my ass from 11pm till 2pm the next day to Tenaglia, Although that ended up being just a bit more than HALF of his set which lasted 24 hours. Now that's going out with a BANG!
Tenaglia's last marathon set was April 24th and he had the final honours to closing out ARC. I walked from 6 Hubert st all the way back up to 46th that morning. and that was after partying all night long... I'll see if I can find my review...

Something about today that was just off... everything just seemed so .. aside from the weather. Then I come home to this. I can't even begin to explain how saddened I am to hear this news. I've been going there since about late 1998 I believe.
I've had some great times...and some not so great times there... but all memorable. I've partied it up with sooooooo many TA's and Tribers... and just random people... who were in town for visits.
And of course... I can't continue without mentioning the TA Invasions. 
All thanx to Ezekiel and Interference Productions.. many a TA dj owe's u great deal of grattitude dude...seriously. I think it did open doors for so many dj's who otherwise wouldn't have had an opportunity to showcase their skills.
I was givin the opportunity... and honor of spinning at the very first ever TA Invasion...On May 30, 2003. I can never forget that day... My first time spinning in front of sooo many TA"s/freinds.. and it was special because my daughter was just about to be born.
The line up was:
MUTE
Vagrant
Mobius
Stylez
and the late Dj Fusion (RIP) who tore that place a new ass... with Mr. Vain.
and of course...the many other countless TA Invasions that followed.
Not to mention just random events...and Fri. night...even the ocassional Sat. night I'd attend. Some amazing parties. It's sad to see it close...
God.. what great memories at that place.:(

Not a big poster on here.. but damn, System? DAMN IT!
Man, System has hosted some WICKED parties for moi.. sad to see it die, sad to see a place where i've partied with a bunch of you.. man, why burn down a church? :( |

Cause there's a set labelled "Danny Howells Arc Closing Party"...so I assumed that was the closing party. |
