That's fantastic. I absolutely love the desert colors they're using for those buildings. It's too bad our local designers don't have their sense of taste and style, as evidenced by 3/4 of the new buildings in downtown Toronto.

From the site posted above... my god... That's it, i'm going there next year. I must see the creation of this city.

I'm not sure what to say about this... Can anyone translate from french?

Dubailand Dinosaur Park. Les dinosaures seront l'un des 45 thèmes représentés dans le parc de loisirs de Dubailand. Le projet, réalisé en collaboration avec le musée d'histoire naturelle de Londres, prévoit la recréation d'un environnement préhistorique authentique.

Or atleast one with appreciation 4 innovative architecture.

Would be nice to see less brown brick or concrete boxes in Toronto.

No point complaining, it's not like the city's gonna change (unless someone here decides to make it their life's mission to do so that is). Like i said earlier, i think the wise thing to do would be to just pick a better city and go for it.

Yeah, I've pretty much done that already.

I doubt Toronto will change too. It'll always be pretty conservative with architecture and other things.

you guys are funny.

I prefer conservative architecture over conservative (if not backward) society.

Nusty, I would prefer if you got your facts straight first (No offense). Dubai's income from oil is only 3%. Balance is from trade and tourism. Free trade does wonders (it also helps when you have an oversears infulx of investment).
