Well she completely lied about her plans friday night to go and see him, we didnt hear from her for about 18hours. Had the police round etc..
The NEXT day, she misses school and sneaks out to see him.
She met him on the internet..
From what she's said about him he sounds like a complete loser, not at college, sacked from job etc
I'm not a particularly agressive person but  |

i dated guys who were 18+ when i was 15.
i think the general consensus is that girls mature faster than boys... but it's a tricky situation because even though i felt that i was able to handle the kinds of relationships i had when i was 15, not all girls could... and most of them end up being stupid and getting pregnant.
from the way it sounds though, it looks like he's trouble and she is just looking for a way to rebel... lots of young girls like "bad boys" because they're more exciting than the nice dorky boys that they go to high school with.
i'd keep an eye on him... and maybe have a talk with your sister and tell her you're concerned. |

that's exactly it...every girl is going to say that they can handle it aren't they? everyone thinks they are the exception to the rule. personally i don't see what a 18 year old sees in a 15 year old...
i don't really see anything wrong with the freshman dating a senior thing...that's fine, but if it's like a college guy and a freshman in highschool or something... doesn't really sound good... |

i dated a 14 year old when i was 17, she was way more mature than me & it never got into anything much, but her parents liked it because i knew her sister who was my age and we'd goto the same bar at nights so they were always there at weekends. We got on well, and i'd buy her dad a drink & him likewise, just how takes go. Those points you've made are perfect though. My mates brother who was 16 when we were 12 dated a girl in my class, she matured quickly and they started going out when she turned 13. 11 years on they're still together & engaged. |

Yeah that's pretty much how it is..
If someone else posted this i'd probably give advice similar to yours however it's just not that easy. Mum confiscated her phone yesterday as a punishment and she went absolutely ballistic. She started grabbing everything in her room and throwing it out of the window, stormed down stairs threw all the dinner table chairs on the floor, opened the cupboard doors in the kitchen and threw everything on the floor. I had to physically restrain her for the best part of 2hours till she calmed down..
She simply wont listen to what anyone has to say and insists this guy that she has known less than a fortnight is the love of her life. Apparently we "don't understand". It's even more worrying because she is soooooo naive, she thinks she's all grown up like most 15year old girls but the reality is she's not the sharpest tool in the box and is very easily lead...
She is the complete opposite to me and my brother it's crazy |

yep... gotta love the untouchable "nothing bad will happen to me!" attitude of a teenager. :p
srsly tho... not to sound arrogant but i think i was a hell of a lot smarter than other girls my age. i did some dumb when i was younger but i was ALWAYS smart about sex/relationships, and i never got myself into positions that i couldn't handle on my own. |
