Some guys like younger girls, nothing wrong with it as long as it's not a FREAKISH difference...when I met my b/f he was 22 & I was 17...now I am 20 & he is 25.

But damn at 15 I wasn't even allowed to have a b/f :wtf:
Protege
I went out with a 15 year old when I was a freshman in college (18 yrs). She was a sophomore in hs and very hot. Although her parents werent too thrilled, we still went out long after they thought we had broke up.
Popping cherries ftw

yes, but the point is that women start out judgemental of age in men. the idea that a man is younger is an immediate red flag. sure he may actually be a great guy and things will work out, but the majority of women don't seem to be as willing to take a chance on a younger man.

you're right. women are bitches, and they get whatever they want. i just think that most of the time they're so confused about what they want that they end up in relationships that sound nice in their mind, but never work in the real world. i did this for 6 years, always going after the older guys and never even giving guys my age a shot because i just convinced myself from the beginning that i needed an "older man".

most girls hit puberty between the ages of 9 - 13, whereas most boys hit puberty between the ages of 10 - 16. i think puberty is physical and emotional... your body is changing and maturing physically and you have to adjust to these changes emotionally as well... you start thinking about sex & dating, becoming more aware of the opposite sex. since girls mature faster than boys then i can see why they'd mostly go after older boys who are already a bit experienced about sex and dating.

exactly. why would a 15 year old girl date an inexperienced 15 year old boy when she can date an experienced 18 year old boy who probably has a car, sexual experience, and more freedom in general... she's going after the guy who will provide her the most excitement. it sucks for younger guys that girls go after older men a lot of the time but i can think of so many reasons why it happens.

heh... i find conversations like this really intriguing, actually. i agree with mostly everything you said from a general perspective... but there's always those cases that are the exception to the rule, where people who are 5 years apart may have EVERYTHING in common and be the most compatible couple you've ever seen, despite their age difference.

ok, i'm having problems typing out coherent thoughts... it's still too early. hopefully what i wrote makes some sense...

yeah i agree with what you said. i can accept that perhaps emotional development is linked to the physical development and all of that...good point.

i guess really all i can do is speak from personal experiences just as anyone can.

the majority of women i've dated have actually been older than me. i probably was the more immature of the two of us simply because i had never dated before them, a lack of experience just as you're saying, but i also learned from the experience just as women do from dating older guys. in a relationship after that...i dated a younger woman. i was 22 she was 19...and the maturity difference was glaring. i couldn't even stand to be around this girl after a couple of weeks because of the immaturity.

i also know probably a good 3-4 women that soley date older men. not just a couple years difference, but for example i know girls that are 20-22 that have dated 38 year olds. i just think it's naive to start dating someone that much older than yourself and expect something to come of it, which i think most women ultimately are hoping for. they date these guys for a couple of weeks...sleep with them because they are so "sexually mature" and then things fizzle out. well? honestly, what the hell did they expect? someone that much older is not dating a 20 year old because they have a serious relationship interest...they are dating you because you are attractive. they are using you for sex. sure there is the occassional exception to that, but that is almost never going to happen. it's just frustrating to me because i care about these girls as a friend, i try to warn them of what they're doing, and they think they are capable of handling it when in reality they are heart broken a couple weeks later when it's over.

that to me spells immaturity. not being able to look at a situation you're putting yourself in and determine the reality of the situation. women are too often blinded by love. you see the same thing in women that get beat continually by their boyfriends, yet stick it out. you think you're in love with this older man because he's your dream man or whatever, but in reality he's just using you and doesn't take you seriously.

jason, u are making the mistake of defending the entire male population just because you yourself are very mature for your age. you are a part of a small handful of guys like that.

ok i agree, but that works both ways. you and lucid are defending the entire female population because you both are very mature for your age too.

when i go out to the bars there is practically nothing demonstrated by the majority of women there to suggest to me that they are more mature then any of the guys in the bar, except their preconceptions of their own maturity.

i consider it synonomous with intelligence. you can be intelligent at any age, but the majority of people are just plain idiots. you can have a mature outlook on life at any age, but the majority of people are immature. especially at younger ages in life. i really don't think a 20 year old girl on average is any more mature than a 20 year old guy. maybe she believes she is, but its all her personal preconceptions of herself.
