And as to your first comment, the one that got the whole "arguement" started, i'll have to say i agree. Girls that i've met/know either like house or pop :(. And i found that in most cases the prettier the girl is - more she likes House music. my 2 cents... |

Well, it boils down to subculture's history. House, by far, has been around forever in North America. House has built a market that establishes itself as trendy, digestable, and danceable. Every club recongizes it, the music industry does so too - it brings in good business. It's also the perception of house with overall mainstream dance music that keeps it in the limelight while Trance just mosey alongs.
House by far has more sex appeal [if I could use the phrase loosely] and is more danceable to clubbers. Like girls who dig house stepping and/or the bump and grind style in house is more appealing than trying to bust their booty to trance! ahah
House has a different sensual energy than Trance. It just takes a different mindset for girls to eventually gravitate to Trance.. Which might not happen..
Frankly, with this new style [liquid-popping] I'm learning, it's quite difficult to move to any type of trance -- unless there was breaks and funk - it's possible. |
