ok fine, then tell me: Isn't Martin Buttrich an idiot for giving out all those dancefloor bombs. With time, if he had released all those great tracks instead of selling them he would be able to sell a load more using his own name.....no?
elFreak
not really, because doing what he does guarantees him x amount of dollars. No track is a guaranteed hit.
kinda like david bowie....a great performer who made more money producing for others than under his own name.
if you flood the market with your own , eventually people get sick of seeing your name even if it is good. This way is better for his bank account considering with every hit he puts out under someone else's name guarantees that people with little to no productions skills will pay his price to help push them over the top. We both know most dj's don't make bank until they have a few tracks to get them prime bookings.
ka ching.
he is also free to release stuff that is not his traditional sound without pissing off his fans. He is one of the most talented technical producers, and even does pop music.;) Can't put his name on that can he?
on the record...i hate this track:p
it is just a peak time bomb made for festivals with little substance aka will be huge as long as the right people play it aka 70% of the cocoon catalog.
