^^ I picked that one up last night too! Good stuff.

I actually picked up a fair bit of pumpin techno last night...what I mentioned above plus scratch massive - make it high (duotech venhi mix) and an old greg gow remix of Mateo Murphy's "beyond seven."

I'm really surprised at what I found in the techno section on beatport this week...pumpin stuff but still groovy and not so banging! I hope this sound is back because I lurrrv it!

Check out dancerecords as well they have some good new stuff.
Don't you find the Voorn Remix ends 2 suddenly? The ending sounds like the beginning of a breakdown :whip:

as much as i enjoy minimal, i have a feeling its ressurgance is just a fad.I've gotten my hands on quite a few bangers that are scheduled for release in the next 3 months...(some of these done by minimal producers....maybe they are sick of it, i dont know)

I am curious to hear where the minimal producers will go.

I definitely think it will fade a bit but there is still some really awesome "dancefloor minimal" being produced right now.

Some of the tracks I bought yesterday - specifically the scratch massive one - have a deep, rolling bassline that reminds me of what I would now hear in an Adam Beyer set, but with the upbeat and quirky-ness of the minimal I like. This is where I hope to see the 135+bpm techno going in the future...back to the groove, back to the funk, combining different elements from the electro and minimal phases that the scene has gone through in the last few years.

I noticed Steve Rachmad's Body Language remix is on his myspace page.. I checked it out, sounds good but I won't be buying it.

I just discovered this Eric Sneo rec I haven't played in awhile - Beat Diasaster 10 - sooo good. Sneo is one of my favourite producers for sure.
