How cool is this track from the massive new Dominik Eulberg LP on Traum.

Godddamn Solomun is such a solid producer.. Can't stop listening to this one. EP of the year for me so far.

here is the original
i'll give you that it is better than 1 which is the laziest edit in the world of this:
honestly i have no patience with guys like this or like soul clap who can't even credit the vocalist...cool music, but hardly genius. like no one will recognize vocals from people like stevie wonder and curtis mayfield. that takes balls, and in my opinion not the good kind. i wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even clear the samples.

I agree with you, there are many tracks where I wish I knew where the sample came from.. BUT.. at the same time, how would you name Solomun's track? Would you put the vocalist as a featuring...? That's the problem with digital releases, there's no CD wallet for all this information.
I doubt Solomun was trying to fool anyone into thinking these are original vocals, it's blatantly obvious. The EP's called Love Recycled.
Anywho, amazing track. I could put it on repeat and all night, then cry myself to sleep like a little bitch.. beautiful track full of emotion.

it doesn't really matter in the long run...i can just remember seeing solomun complain once about people downloading his music for free, so to me this is really hypocritical.
henrik schwarz for example tends to clear samples and include the original artist in his track names when he does something similar. Then again solomun isn't even in the same league, so it is probably an unfair comparison. The guy's next ep was made in collaboration with one of the bigger symphony orchestras in europe (forget which one at the moment). The other guy hopes we won't recognize what he would like people to pay for:p
at the very least it would be nice to see mayfield get a nod (kids deserve to know who he is...rip), then again when bran van 3000 sampled the same record they didn't do it either.
this happens way too much...for instance i love omar s - set it out....in truth it is nothing but a loop from an old track (the warm keys) with vocals punked by midway on it.:p

btw here is a short preview of a rehearsal for the forthcoming schwarz project.
i'm looking forward to it, its nice to use instruments sometimes.
and speaking of sampling...man this is bugging me because i know it....anyone?

edit: nevermind:p
lol
see? no one is doing anything new:p not even whitney.:p
