I drove all the way from Toronto and thought the place was gonna be packed. I mean fine I had a lot of room to dance and the vibe of those that were there was great, but still.. what has happend to the crowd... Preach or no Preach! :( |

I don't think anything is wrong with the mtl vibe. B&B this year convinced me that the vibe is still very much alive in mtl.
the problem like many people in this thread have pionted to is the need for major renovation. Aria is the same nigh in and night out. When I was going to SONA they were constantly changing their decor with what they had. I don't think I went there more than three times in row without seing the couches in a different locations and a new decor on the dance floor. I remember one of the best nights I had there was when they had different moons, suns and stars all over the ceiling going in weird eliptical parterns all made of bronze. The lighting that night was kept simple and there were no screens sorounding the dance floor. I remember looking at those light and thinking what beautifull art(things like that only happen in MTL). Something that simple with a good local dj like creator can impress people and make them talk. |

The start of a very good friendship. I will NEVER forget that night.
Not only was I seeing my fave dj destroy the place but I met quite a few of you TA's that night as well. Oh the memories *sniff sniff* ;) |

Glowsticks are such a big part of the scene...
You don't know how many people are pissed when big names like Ferry come to town and they can't use glowsticks. It's ing Ferry who spins trance... GIVE THE PEOPLE THEIR GLOWSTICKS...
