myra, your sig reminds me of that commercial for something about a guy in a hotel getting a japanese massage, but for the first part you can only see his facial expressions, and it looks like he's getting rammed in the ass.

I say demand it all as payment for having contributed to the equity in the condo but not receiving payment when you name was taken off the title.
That said, you really don't have any right to demand the money as you have signed off on all ownership and the escored amounts were not paid by you. On the other hand of course, he cannot compel you to sign. |

that would be nice, but it's unsensible, as he'd probably rather eat the $100 than give it to her. |

Well if you need it, then yeah...I think you're best off to deal with this without involving him. He sounds like a dumb, you shouldn't have to worry how you come off considering what he did to you. Call up his mortgage broker and tell her you won't sign it unless you get half. |

It's true no one can make you sign anything & nothing can be done against you legally.
Although I wouldn't sign it if I were you because of the things you said, from what you said the guy is a jerk & he could say he'll give you half but what if he doesn't (which will most likely be the case) there is no way you could prove he did or did not & if you happen to want to take legal action they'll tell you that you signed the check so there is nothing anyone could do.
So IMO, don't do it. |

Depending on how you look at that...
she's no attorney, and she'll just push the issue to him, obviously not wanting to get involved.
additionally, the money can only get handed to one person, and he's sure as hell not going to trust myra to cash the check and give him half, since he's obviously already a proven .
tell him to fork over 100 and you'll sign it, but make sure you have some beef with you in case he cranks up that iciousness. guys become even bigger s when you add alcohol or with their money. |
