i really agree with that. too many people get taken advantage of because they have such compassionate and giving personalities. i'm not saying that compassion is bad at all...but i think it's very easily abused...and that's why you have to be somewhat cautious of who you grant that compassion to.. |

i feel like if i signed the check and let him take the money, he would see that as him "winning"... that's all he wants, and i don't want to give it to him.
i honestly have no reason to be nice to him. some people can look back on tough relationships and say "oh i still care about you and the great times we had" but i honestly look back on this one with disgust. normally i try to remain friends, or at least civil, with exes... but this time, i'm happy to say i never care to see or hear from him again. my other ex who i dated for 5 years is a genuinely good person and we are still friends and i value his friendship very much... but this guy is just a ing tool.
the only positive thing i can say about our relationship is that it prevented me from moving to NY (which i was considering very seriously before i started dating him) which then allowed me to meet RJT last summer. |

i know the c0r is filled with a lot of BS, but this thread proves that i can get some solid advice and support from some great people, which makes me feel a lot better about things.
