see i'm afraid if i call her and tell her, she's going to tell him that i want half and then he's going to be pissed at me for not dealing with him personally about it... and then they'll play it out like i'll get $100 just to get me to sign and then i'll never get it.
even though i don't want to deal with him, his e-mail to me was pleasant enough that i feel like i should just send him a nice reply and tell him why i think i deserve half the money, and that i won't sign unless i get the $100.

also, don't think you'll definitely get 100 out of this. if he won't hand it to you before you sign, you don't sign.
be aware that he's already contemplated forging your signature. |

Ah yes...good point. Well, guess you'll just have to do what you said then. We all gotta put that "game-face" on sometime. I guess this'll just be one of those times.
And yeah, if you're just as polite as he was, you won't come off as a bitch. He'd be wrong to think you aren't entitled to half the money. If he turns into an upon you requesting half, THAT's when I'd say forget it and just let him have all the damn money. Don't stoop to his level by not signing it just because you can't get half. Clearly you are the better person here. |

I can see how you would say cynical, but I can be quite the prick, and quite the devious-minded fellow.
You see that I resorted to that angle very quickly, because you not only know what he is capable of, but what he has done in the past. What makes you think he won't do that again, especially when they have no recent feelings for each other, ESPECIALLY when there's money on the line? He ed her over financially then, you don't think he'll do it again?
RJT - do the right thing, and give your girl $100 to let this issue die. She's happy, and he gets nothing :D |

that's a really good point, and Rob said the same thing. i'm too ing nice... that's my problem.
