I will, without doubt, be giving Myra the $100 in cash NOT to sign the check should it come do to her not being able to get any cash for signing it. :)

Regardless of whether or not she's legally entitled to any money, she isn't in any way legally compelled to sign the check. He, on the other hand, is ranked among one of the worst individuals I have ever met in my life (And I knew this well before Myra and I ever even started dating), and for what he put her through last year, he deserves nothing but the worst that life can bring to him, in my opinion.

the use of co-signators is a negative entitlement. That means they only get action on failure of primary signator. It doesnt entitle them to the money from the loan.

maybe if it's like me with my parents on a car loan...but this is a spouse. the condo is in both their names jointly...they entered into this as a couple...

That true, but it isnt the decent thing to do. Its always nice to walk away from a situation knowing you handled it with grace. This guy sounds like he probably has a bad life, why make it worse?

You weren't there, you don't know him, and you didn't see how he decided to deal with things with Myra.

The guy doesn't deserve the sweat from my balls. :toothless

Being decent to people isnt dependant on their action I think...seriously, think about how bad of a life this guy has. He treats women like , has no fulfillment or joy...no love...now he cant even get 200 dollars thats his. How miserable. Enjoying someone in pain is called sadism and thats not a very nice trait. Id say some compassion would be a more noble thing to do.

I still stand by my original advice. If it isn't going to happen, him. I've got a $100.
