i'd send him an email back just saying something to the effect that. you'd be more than happy to sign the check, but that you would like half of it since you bought the condo together. he could just give you cash when you meet to sign it so they don't have to worry about it later.

if he responds basically saying that well no the money is mine bla bla...you don't deserve any of it.

well then i would just politely say something about how you don't want to sign the check. don't make any sort of altimatums...but just that you changed your mind and you'd rather not see him again...

Walker, you're a nice kid who I think has a very solid ethical compass.

Mine isn't as finely tuned as yours. ;)

Plus, I'll buy you steak tonight if you want.

lol i'll take your steak but i won't take your money. :p

i can be happy with the fact that he won't get the $200... i won't have to worry about the situation and i won't have to talk to him ever again.

I'm fairly sure that her intent is never to have to deal with him in person (edit; or at all) again.

He's really quite unstable.

I have fun when you and I pick apart each others posts Jason.

It's one of the most engaging things there is to do on TA anymore.

I just know that its rewarding to finish things up in life and to look back, like I said, knowing that you handled it like a champion. I think it might benefit Myra as well to disassociate herself further by treating him well where he would not treat her well.

Being decent to people isnt dependant on their action I think...seriously, think about how bad of a life this guy has. He treats women like , has no fulfillment or joy...no love...now he cant even get 200 dollars thats his. How miserable. Enjoying someone in pain is called sadism and thats not a very nice trait. Id say some compassion would be a more noble thing to do.

Well gee Orbax...why you always asking me to explain forgiveness and all that rot? Clearly you already have a good enough understanding of it! :D

it may also be a sign of weakness on her part. and thats how people get abused. I say show him you have the confidence to stand up for yourself after what he did to you. its the only way people like him learn...
